Pricey But It's a Delta OEM Part!

First Impressions: The hose comes shrink wrapped and tightly wound. Yest there is some uncoiling tension at first, but that dissipated after a few days. The color is certainly We ordered this to replace a similar (clear/silver) hose from Delta. The most difficult part is the quick-connect and getting that back snug and secure with very minimal room for movement. Installation Tip: If you have a counterweight attached to the hose you are replacing, leave it off. We had ours clamped around the original hose and after 10 years of daily use, it cracked at the edge of where the counterweight and hose meet. This caused a slow, undetected leak which only happened when we extended the hose, opening up the crack. In my mind, this is a poor design and will happen again. I left off the counter weight and just slide the hose back in after use, it's not a big deal. If you want to see the "color" see the attached pic.

Exactly what I needed for my faucet

This was exactly the right part for my faucet. Came with an instruction sticker telling you how to remove the old hose and install this one. It fit perfectly and works perfectly. A lot cheaper than buying the hose and the sprayer from Delta directly. If this fits your faucet, I would recommend buying it.

Solves the leaking hose issue

We have a two handle with pullout spray. The sink is standard deep, eight inches, and the height of the faucet is eight inches above the countertop. But these are a bit beside the point until you seek the solution to a leaky pullout hose. The material on what came with this faucet a little over a year and a half ago appeared to be clear flexible vinyl with braided reinforcements woven throughtout. Nonetheless, it ruptured a few months ago and caused a few puddles under the sink. Enter the product under review. It fit the existing spray nozzle's connection quite easily with just a spin onto the threads. On the opposite end is the quick connect. This portion as well was a snap to complete, even figuring for the journey under the sink and all. This quick connect hose was the perfect solution to our issue. Time will tell if its materials hold up longer, but for now it has held up quite well. Very happy with the delivery speed and the item. Cheers.

Fits DELTA kitchen faucet sprayers

Our original Delta Faucet sprayer started leaking where the hose meets the quick connect end. It's 8 years old and this replacement fit perfectly. When removing your old hose just squeeze the two tabs and pull it out from the bottom of the sink. Don't forget the O ring on either side or it will leak. The proprietary DELTA fastener is annoying because you can't use a generic replacement but it does snap on very easily. The hose it good quality and was slightly longer than the original hose we had which is nice.

Perfect fit for Delta Model 488

This hose fits the Delta Model 488 Series Michael Graves Single Handle Kitchen Faucet. In fact, the "universal" sprayer hose assemblies found at your local orange or blue big box store won't fit--the sprayer end thread gender is wrong and adapters are too large to fit through the hole for the sprayer. Installation is simple. The hardest part for me was getting a good grip on the end that attaches underneath the faucet (to squeeze the connector to get it to release). Note: This is our THIRD hose. The first suffered a cut during new countertop installation and the second started to leak at the faucet end (perhaps pulled out too far a few times?).

If this is what you need, then get it.

An exact replacement of the original part. My original hose developed a split quite suddenly and rendered the kitchen sick unusable. In 2 days I had this replacement and in 15 minutes all was back in order. I wish Delta didn't use this proprietary quick connect...but they do and I bought it, so I'll live with it. It did make for a quick fix, just make sure the old gasket comes out when the old hose is taken off. The new one didn't fit properly at first until I realized the old gasket was still stuck on the pipe.

It works

It works. However, a heads up, the first hose I received leaked at the quick-connect coupling. After inspecting it I found the plastic white/clear O-ring was damaged and not seated correctly. I exchanged it for a another one and no problems. Nevertheless it was annoying to have my kitchen sink out of order for 2 extra days. I thought Delta would have better quality control on their name brand replacement parts. And don't waste your time trying the "universal" replacement hose from the hardware store. Delta has successfully thwarted that market with their proprietary connections.

I received this as a used but in very good condition. I connected it and it started leaking. So I took it off and looked inside to notice that the clear ring washer and a small black ring were not in it like my old one. Luckily I was able to pull them out of my old one and stick in the new one. I'm glad I hadn't thrown it away yet. It has not leaked since doing so earlier today.
