Not impressive.
We have a bunch of good locks. Got these hoping that they would be very straight forward to install because one of the brands of locks we chose has a smaller opening in the cover plate than the reinforcing plate, which can lead to slight but significant misalignment if you use the reinforcing plate to gauge lock functionality prior to installing the cover plate. The hole pattern of these Defender plates is different enough that it can give you a second chance. I don't believe that these Defender plates are even as good as what came with the locks. The screws are much lighter weight--and you can't just go get a box of more robust R4 screws (for example) and stick a bigger one in because the plate is shallow and the screw head will not sit flush. The plate itself is about as robust as the cover plate on the good locks. So, they're not quite the do-over for which I'd hoped, but they'll probably suffice until I find the better thing.

Good replacement for standard deadbolt plate.
Does the job. This is a good choice for replacing a standard plate which isn't in the correct place, or which has come loose so the screws no longer hold it in. The screw locations in this new "security" plate are different from a smaller, standard size plate, so new holes drilled will hold firm. As for security, this isn't really much better than a standard plate. Yes, the screws are longer and there are four of them instead of just two, but someone who wants to kick your door down will do it even with this plate in place. The police will ram their way in no matter what plate you use. Buying this on Amazon was far better than making a special trip to a big-box store, finding a parking space, finding where in the gigantic store this is located, then paying an inflated price for something so basic.

Solid
Friend's front door was kicked in and the point of failure was the door frame flimsy wood at the strike plate screws. about 1/4 the cost of security plates with rods. This strike plate and some long screws went in with the new door. Harder target, peace of mind.

Fixed a color mis-match in our lock set project, though some chisel work was required.
One of the last hardware 'holdouts' in our lock set project. Changing the finish on the lock sets ripples out to a lot of other hardware you wouldn't normally consider, like the plates for the deadbolts. The plate on the front door didn't match any options available with the new deadbolts. Luckily I found this one in a complementary finish and almost the exact size. It was a hair wider than the original plate and did not have rounded corners. A bit of careful chiseling got it to fit just right. The best part is that this was the last piece of hardware we needed to finish the lock set project!

They are great products, exactly right for the job
I recently had to replace all my interior and exterior doors due to Hurricane Matthew (besides tons of other repair). Although the exterior doors were pricey, the mating of lock & latch mortises to the mortises in the frames was far less than precise. I ordered three of these strike plates to accommodate the adjustments I had to make. They are great products, exactly right for the job, extremely fine fit and finish. The strength and extra long screws make my home safer. I was well pleased and am glad to write a review.

Little more secure
Easy to install and more sturdy then a standard door jam. More secure and that’s what I wanted. It matched to the brown bronze handle.

Fixed my front door lock issues
For a few months we had issues with several of our doors not latching in the right place.I finally found a latch that worked really well for us4-Pack GATOR Door Latch Restorer - Strike Plate (Oil Rubbed Bronze) and then I moved onto the deadbolt alignment. This product was excellent as the door frame had softwood and the screws moved a lot. The 4 bolt high security latch fixed all of that. If you are having door strike issues, either buy this or have a pro fix it.

nice, but only 2 long screws
Not sure this is as "high" of security as it could be. It is relatively heavy duty, but is only sent with two longer screws. The other two are short. I can't imagine why you install a more secure plate with 4 potential hold points and only utilize two of them? and you can't just use other screws without them standing way out since the plate and screws are all bronze.
