Wobbly

This walker has two take down joints each side which makes it very compact for travel or storage. But unfortunately each joint is not perfectly tight and when it's fully assembled it's very wobbly from side to side. Forward and back is sturdy but side to side moves almost 3 inches. I have another with only one take down joint and it is quite firm in all directions. RETURNS ALTHOUGH THE WEBSITE SPECIFICALLY SAYS ELIGIBLE FOR REFUND AND RETURNS, WHEN I TRIED TO RETURN IT THE AMAZON RETURN ENGINE UP CAME UP WITH THAT IT IS NOT RETURNABLE. I HAD TO USE AMAZON ASSISTANT TO GET A REFUND ON IT AND EVEN THEN THEY DIDN'T WANT ME TO SEND IT BACK.

Great for what it’s used for

I can’t speak to everyday use/ walking assistance necessarily. My other half had surgery and uses it to get in and out of our walk in shower as well as stand up from the seat in the shower and to get up and down from the toilet. And to steady himself in front of the mirror when brushing his teeth, washing his hands and such. For that it’s worked great. Otherwise it’s crutches because he can’t put weight down on one leg. This was the second surgery in a year and the first surgery there was great struggle to perform these tasks so I purchased it for these purposes only. Wish I had thought of it the first time.

Not wide enough…

I bought this stand so my mom could use it to do accupressure and she can use it for support… however it’s not wide enough… so most patients fit in between the legs of the stand but if someone is too fat then they won’t be able fit in… wish the width was adjustable too.

I'm 5'7 and weigh 155. It's for my husband who is 5'10 and weighs 210. I don't know how well it will hold his weight. It's super easy to assemble. If you have sufficient arm strength. It has 8 adjustable slots depending on your height. I tried it myself and used the #7 slot. Since I was wearing 4.5 inch heels, that made me @5'11.5 inches. I used it and leaned on it as heavily as I could. It appeared sturdy. But I have no impediment to walking, I say this because it sits flat on the floor, no wheels. So you are just using it to steady yourself as you walk. Also we have hardwood floors. Not carpet so easier to use. I wouldn't use it outside or on grass without help. I can walk really fast when I want to, even in heels. But as I tried out the walker I had to walk really slow! You're lifting something up and putting it down with each step. You have to look down then up then down. It was NOT fun. It turned walking into a serious chore. Plus I started to feel hesitant and infirm. I've used a wheelchair, crutches, cane and walking cast, but never a walker. Hopefully it will make me more understanding when my husband is going super slow. Kudos to anyone who has to use one. Frankly, it was awful.
