Price was great and it fit great, but it didn't last one season. My tractor may have other issues.

(update Sept 2020) I'm moving my rating from two stars to four. I might have some other issue going on with my tractor and the starter is not to blame. I rebuilt my original starter with a quality rebuild kit from LarryB's. It didn't last a season either. I traced wiring back and have found a pretty decent voltage drop on the starter relay circuit. It is wired in series through multiple safety switches and a small logic box and so far I have been unable to eliminate the drop. However, I wired a new starter button with heavier wire to the same starter relay and that has been 100% reliable so far. So I don't know exactly what the problem is but I can't fairly blame the starter. In fact, it did work for awhile even with my voltage drop, and as I said originally, the fit was perfect. (original review August 2019) I had often needed to hotwire my Kubota tractor to start it and could never figure out why the key start didn't work. I decided to replace the starter and ignition cylinder based on online advice. The ignition cylinder did nothing but this starter did the trick. I was so happy that it started so easy with the key, but it didn't last. After a month or two it started getting finicky again. By the next spring it was 95% failure, worse than the old starter. And this is a tractor that I only use once a week to mow. The price was great, but it didn't last. I would gladly pay this much for a quality rebuild kit instead.

Junk!!!!!!!!

Purchased Oct. 20th 2017. Has not work right since installation. You have to use a screw driver to engage the teeth to the flywheel because the machine work is poor. And after 9 months its burnt out, wont even engage. This with new cables and terminals and battery. Will take a picture later.

Didn’t work.

Starter lasted a week and quit working. Called company they said they could t do anything had to go through Amazon.

Worked and fit perfect at first, now a problem with it when engine is warm. click,click, no start

It arrived fast and was a easy install, it worked perfectly for the first 6 week or so on our GF1800 mower,about one use/start per week, just recently like in the last week or so, the starter will just click, with the key when the mower has been used for a bit ( we have 8 acres of lawn so my wife whom does the lawn will take a break and shut the GF1800 off for about a half hour), After she lets it cool down for about a hour it will start right up again. We are NOT impressed with this particular starter and will see just how good and how much of a pain trying to do a warranty claim is. Starter was install in our GF1800 on June 21st 2022, started to act up roughly August 15th 2022, so about 6 weeks or about 12 uses of the starter !!!!!
