Quick cheap fix for my pond pump.
Was a cheap easy fix. A new pump would have been expensive and the installation a pain in the butt. This worked great.

Model 6 Pump Impeller replacement...
After reading that this impeller would work with my discontinued Model 6 the order was placed and received the next day. Installation required a bit of fitting though. In the arrived configuration, 3 metal bushings on the outer end of the shaft, one on the inner side, the impeller would interfere with the body of the pump and not turn with electric applied. I discovered this after several disassembly/reassembly attempts and finally began swapping positions of the metal bushings, one at a time, until the impeller would freely turn. Final reassembly and application of electric and the pump was working, water once again flowing at the fountain. If you have a Model 6 and it's not working on initial installation, consider this adjustment to the impeller before you throw up you hands in despair. PS, hold onto the metal bushings for your old impeller should you need them.

O-ring not included. Don't overtighten!
The o-ring is all twisted after taking the pump apart. There's no o-ring included in the impeller package. You have to buy the pump cover in order to get the o-ring. Danner should include the o-ring for repeller repair and sell it for a dollar more. Update - Well it turned out impeller replacement is tricky business. I overtightened the screws and the cap is leaking from some hairline crack I couldn't see. I see water droplets coming out of the cap not the o ring area. So they made you buy the cap for a reason. To avoid over-tightening do this: Put new cap on. push it in all the way without using the screw. Hold it tight and look at the width of the gap. Now you know o-ring is already touching at this point. Tighten the screws now and make sure it's not so tight that the gap disappear.

Easy to swap, works great.
If you are not a tech person, don’t be afraid to swap this. It was four philips, pull out the old, pop in the new, put screws back in. It took me one minute. It also came in less than 18hrs

This presently is a consummable part
I have ordered many of these impellers that go into our pond pumps. I wish they could sell the parts that wear which are the spacers, washers and impeller and not the whole magnetic structure, It seems such a waste to have to toss the magnetic rotor. They could charge a little less for the wearable parts and keep me from tossing rotor into the land fill. The life of the impeller is reasonable (2-3 years on a pump that runs ~10 hours/day, 365 days a year).

Works as expected
My pump was getting sluggish and wouldn't start again after the breaker would jump, unless I gave it a push. Changed the impeller and it's working again like before.
