Built to last

I am a scuba diver and when I go on dive trips, I take what we call a "save a dive kit" which consists of small parts such as O-rings, fin strap, etc. as well as a couple of small tools to replace them. I have gone through two cheap plastic containers over the past year which broke on a trip, so I bought this as a replacement. It is a little small so I had to eliminate a couple of things I had been carrying, but this one looks like it should last me for years.

Really nice, USA made, heavy duty

Well made and made in the USA. It's pretty heavy, so if you're planning on using it for weight sensitive things like backpacking it's going to be a significant portion of weight, relative to its size.

Great case for a Flir One thermal camera

I bought this to hold a Flir One thermal camera after buying a Case Matrix box that was labelled as being for the Flir. The CaseMatrix could not hold the camera, it's manual and soft case, and the camera was able to shake around inside the hard foam cradle provided for it with the Case Matrix. This Pelican case holds the Flir's soft case tightly and can hold the manual and cables without anything being loose (with the manual on the bottom, under the camera & case). And if, like me, you bought the Case Matrix first, you can fit the cradle from the Case Matrix across the end of the Pelican case to give quick access to the camera (along with a little bit of extra foam to stop the camera from knocking back and forth in the cradle) and use the Case Matrix box for something else. The picture includes the cradle from the Case Matrix box.

Perfect for phone sized gadgets!

Love the size and construction. It's a very sturdy plastic and has a latch to prevent it from accidentally opening. It fits the Nintendo 3DS XL to the tee, but would also fit most cell phones without issue. It's a very tight seal and the interior silicone would buffer any bumps your items could have. Though if you have a lot of extra space, I'd recommend using the micro pluck foam to fit your device better

Great drybox that I use every kayak trip

I have two that I’ve been using regularly for kayak trips, beach and pool hangs. They can get warm because of the clear lid but that’s to be expected. On hot days I put some white tape or paper. Have had these go in the water and kept all the water out. They are easily tethered to my kayak. Great product. Keys and wallet go in one. My phone goes in the other. Sometimes I’ll put an ice pack underneath the box,wrapped in a thin towel, to help keep my phone cool.

Stylish and durable.

My first Pelican case and I'm thoroughly impressed. It manages to be durable with transparent plastic without looking cheap and nasty. The pressure relief valve is a nice touch, and I appreciate the included carabiner for attaching to other packs. The hinge is really sturdy with a nice heavy resistance to it that inspires confidence - unlike other cases I've owned with creaked and flopped from day one. Similarly the seam around the case is strong and doesn't give when you try to flex it - it's very compact and low profile. I like the rubber mould insert which doubles as a large o-ring. It helps as a padding material and can even be taken out if you don't need it or want that little but extra space. I can see why these cases have the reputation they do, and will very likely be buying other models to suit storage needs.

Awesome little case

Awesome little case. I stuck my Samsung S6 in an otter box with a back up battery pack that is about the same size, with the USB cord and they fit snuggly in. Going to be keeping this in my backpack for when I'm out in the woods for extended periods of time to keep my devices dry.
