Not comfortable and do not work
Planned to use to make toes more comfortable in shoes. Will not stay on and continually have to remove shoes and adjust,

It's a good product, but not perfect.
I have morton's neuroma and one metatarsal bone hits the floor before the others. It's quite painful. I spent $450 on custom orthotics that make my feet hurt so bad they are intolerable to wear. I've tried all kinds of shoe inserts to help alleviate this pain. Most have not helped. These are exactly what they say they are - a cushion. It is not a metatarsal release. If that is what you need, buy something else; however, if you just want to give a little extra cushion to your metatarsals when you are walking, then this product will do nicely. It is a little awkward feeling when you first put it on because the strap loops over your toe to hold it in place. You get use to this quickly. I think this is perfect for when you need a little extra support, but not when you need a lot. I use them mostly around the house because my house shoes give almost no support. When I'm on my feet all day, they do help but not enough to stop all pain. My biggest complaint is that they do sometimes slide out of position. I gave it four stars because for the price, it's a good product and it is helpful. It's not going to solve all your problems, but it's better than other products I've tried that were far more expensive. If you are having metatarsal pain, I would say give it a try.

Good for ballet but don't last very long
I dance ballet in an adult class, and I noticed that going up on demi pointe really hurt the metatarsal area of my foot. It was affecting my ability to balance, especially on one foot. So I chose these pads for two reasons. First, I can't imagine dancing on a layer of gel, and second I needed something that was attached to my foot so it would not move around at all while dancing. This pad is perfect for these reasons. It is extremely secure in my ballet shoe, and I can still feel the floor through the pad. The only major drawback is that after wearing them for fewer than 8 classes (12 hours of dancing), they no longer provide the cushioning that I enjoyed when they were new. For the price, I kind of hate to replace them so often, but on the flip side I can't see going back to the pain I was in before i started using them. I would recommend them for dancing, but I do wish they came in pairs and were more affordable.

These really do work
I wore the wrong shoes and my foot is suffering because of it. I have shooting/numbing pains in between the third and fourth toe and was told by a doctor that I might have Morton's neuroma. Also told that my pain could be connected to plantar faceitis. I looked and purchased practically everything to cushion my foot and take the pain away. Several worked ok, not great, but ok. I was hesitant to purchase this metatarsal cushion, as some of the reviews were skeptical and said it was so thin. Finally I got one and I am wearing it every day under my sock. I hardly notice it, even though it goes around my second toe. It is the best thing I have purchased. I got two more, so I can rotate them. I wash them and they kind of plump up just a bit when you do. I do not understand why it works so well, but I can wear almost every shoe I have now, without pain. And sometimes, I can even go without the cushion, leading me to think I might be improving. Oh, and the calluses I had on that foot have smoothed out and are much less noticeable. Highly recommend this product.

Feel great
I've been wearing these for 4 years now. Recommended by podiatrist because padding on my feet is gone. Only drawback I've found it's that on 1 you have to turn the part that goes around the toe inside out so pad fits correctly on the right foot (short side under big toe). Other than that they feel great. Just wish Amazon was still selling 2 packs.

helpful mix and match
This is a helpful item, I use in several ways. For example, in a loafer or flat, I wear it alone if I'm not doing a lot of walking. Sometimes I wear it with a thin snug sock to hold the pad in place better. Other times I wear it and layer it in a shoe with a heel, most often a dress boot, that has a another kind of ball of foot cushion in it. I know it sounds like a lot, but I keep the sock thin and the get the "ball of foot cushion" for a high heeled shoe so it is also thin and for me it works well; lots of cushion. Be careful if you need 2 you must order 2. I missed that in the item description and had to reorder a second one after-the-fact, as I wear them on both feet for more comfort when walking and not for a medical reason.

Works well
Hi -- I was skeptical after trying several foot-ball cushions -- most are too thick and make the shoe too tight and rub..or they slide around and come out, but this one stayed in place well; didn't irritate my toes at all (as some reviewers noted); and despite being thin, worked very well and didn't make my shoe rub or hurt. I only have mild ball pain when wearing high heels (and sometimes after walking for a long time in thin flats with no cushion) but after a full day in 4 inch heels my foot felt fine. I will say that when walking in flip flops -- it did slip to the side slightly..but in my pumps it stayed in place very well. My only disappointment is that these are sold separately rather than in pairs -- most foot items come in pairs so I will have to order another one for my right foot.

Great find
I've had metatarsalgia (balls of my feet really hurt) for more than a year. My doctor suggested extra padding in my shoes but nothing worked. For me, this is comfy and you can use the same one for all your shoes rather than having to buy one for every shoe, as with the sticky kind. I even wear this in my water socks to make aquafit less painful on my feet. You can wear them with any closed shoe or even just a pair of regular socks/nylons. Highly recommended. Note that they come one to a package. If both your feet hurt, you'll need two packages. If your foot REALLY hurts, you can wear two pads on one foot - putting the loops over different toes.

Delivered on-time. Product is as advertised and expected. For footwear that does not accommodate my custom orthotics, these work very well bey supporting the metatarsal arch in my foot.

My husband has metatarsal problems
I bought this for him. He finds it helps his foot. He wears it all the time and finds it a comfortable fit.
