Please, please, please make lower profile versions!

I have used the foam foot petals in select shoes for about a decade. This was my first purchase of the gel version. I cannot yet speak to the difference between the adhesives of the two models. I know that I will want the foam ones (on account of their permanent adhesive) in those shoes that are constantly being kicked on and off or which I wear very regularly. There is no point in or appeal of having weaker adhesive that will need to be reapplied a lot in those. However, I’m kind of excited about being able to try these gel ones in different sandals in particular or shoes that I will not wear very often. Also, on first try, the gel seems to have a slightly gentler feel, which I appreciate. Here are my main two pleas to the company: (1)—Never stop making variations with permanent adhesive alongside those that restick. (2)—Please, please, please make a lower profile arch petal. In shoes that already have slight but insufficient arch support, the size of your petals really hurts my arches. The combined support is simply too much for comfort, and there’s no getting used to it. They ache all day long and after the shoes are off. I can say confidently after about a decade of use that my feet simply never adjust even if too much support may be better for my body than too little. The size of your supports are good for me in super flat shoes that lack support entirely (even then I could possibly use a lower profile for my small feet). But most of the shoes that I’m going to use a lot are more supportive shoes that need just a little bit of help. Please make those low profile models! From the reviews I’m seeing here, a few persons with large feet or really high (or is it really flat?) arches might even be interested in an extra high profile model. But I know my experience in most shoes would be enormously helped by a lower profile. (3 *bonus*)—Maybe sell ultra thin double sided adhesive strips for when the foam foot petals pull a layer of footbed lining right off (as they do in some shoes) and subsequently fall out. But, especially, number two. Thank you.

They help when you need that arch support

I need serious arch support and love my Birkenstocks but sometimes I want to wear a little strappy sandal or flat shoe and these arch cushions work amazingly well. I wouldn’t wear them all day but they are great for an evening out.

They hurt my foot

These may work for you. However, they hurt my arch. Important - you can not return them. Even unopened packages are not returnable. So make sure you really want to try them.

Good enough. Not sure how long the adhesive will hold.

Good enough, but I’m not sure how long the adhesive a hold as it is just double sided tape.

Big and weird feeling, but made a difference

Like any sticky insole, the application of these is hard to get right. These are very sticky, and once you put them in and test out the fit you're basically stuck like that. They are a little too puffy and large for me (I wear an 8.5) and they feel weird in. However, they made a big difference for the pair of heeled boots that I bought them for. Without the cushion I can only wear the shoes for an hour or two tops without having serious pain in my foot and knee. With the cushion I can extend that time significantly. I ruined the surface of the shoe I put them in because I pulled it up to reposition it a few times - they are VERY sticky - the sticky part tore, and I'm left with some of the foam from the cushion ripped off and forever stuck to the inside of my shoe - because it stuck that well. Luckily most of the sticky bit remained on the pad, so I repositioned it and am ok now, and it's still sticking marvelously.

NO MORE 'GRANNY SHOES'

I first discovered these in Las Vegas last year though I am sure they have been around for some time. I have very high arches and couldn't wear the really cute shoes and sandals because they didn't provide the support I needed. My feet would hurt and my back would ache within the hour of having shoes on. The saleswoman suggested these and I have been hooked ever since. I have a number of pairs for my favorite shoe, though with these, every shoe is a favorite pair! I only wish they would come in a totally clear (non)color option.

Decent cushion, poor support

I was a bit skeptical purchasing these - because how could a little 2D cushion provide support for my high arches? - and as usual, you get what you pay for. Though in this case I think I got somewhat less than what I paid for; because these go on the insole of the shoe, not the sidewalls, you're of course not going to get the full effect of arch support (support from the side AND from below). I did try to bend and fold these before sticking them in, but that did no good, and they also made the side of the shoe pooch out in an unattractive fashion. Also, be forewarned: these adhesives will take color or even some fabric off the insoles, so you'll not likely be able to return either shoes or arch cushions once you've tried to place them - even lightly. I like Foot Petals' "Heavenly Heels" and "Sole Stoppers," so I'll stick with them. If you are looking for this sort of under-foot support - and it does feel decently nice - perhaps the "ball of foot" cushions they have would work as well.

Best for sandals -- for all you orthotic users out there!

So I had been having pain in my feet lately to the point I went to the doctor. After examining, he said I have very high arches and should be wearing orthotics. I am only in my twenties and I had visions of having to toss all my beautiful heels and sandals. No need!! I buy these in bulk now and stick a pair in all my open summer sandals. Granted, they are NOT as supportive as a true orthotic, which I also own and slip into my closed shoes. However, that big 'ol thing won't work In an open, strappy, cute summer shoe and this is my best solution I've found. They provide comfort, relief, and support for my arches. The material is great too- it adheres well, and is breathable. I recommend trimming the sides slightly to fit your shoe, I typically do that for every.pair.

Life-changing!

These have literally changed my life! I used to never be able to wear heels for more than 20 minutes without excruciating pain in the ball of my foot because I have high arches and flexible feet, but now I feel absolutely zero pain! They’re a nice, sturdy foam material that stick well and are basically invisible while wearing heels - even strappy ones. I would 100% recommend these to anyone who feels like their foot doesn’t make contact with the arch of their shoes, or slides forward on the balls of their feet in heels. Probably the best purchase I’ve ever made, and I will definitely be buying more to go in all of my heels!

A PRODUCT I CAN'T DO WITHOUT

I BUY THESE CONSTANTLY. A PAIR EVERY TIME I HAVE NEW SHOES. I HAVE FALLEN ARCHES AND THESE STOP MY FEET FROM ROLLING IN. VERY COMFORTABLE IN THE SHOES. NICE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH TOO. HAVE RUSHED ME SOME WHEN I NEEDED THEM URGENTLY.
