The tool is solid and the pivot does not have excessive slop. I was surprised how light it is. I've bent a few tubes with it now and it does work as advertised - mostly. There are some limitations. I needed unexpectedly long tube segments to achive a 90 degree bend. The parts of the tool the engage the tube to bend it are a few are apart by a few inches. I needed a 90 degree bend with about 3/4 in of tube on either side.. to do that I had to use about a 4 inch tube, bend it, then cut off the excess on each end. It worked - but not optimal. Also, thin tubes (1/8 or so) tended to crimp rather than have a clean bend - especially with alunium. Overall I am happy. It works - but it does have limitations.

Did its job good enough

I used this to fab a few 3/16" brake lines. Do yourself a favor and use copper-nickel brake lines. The only issue that I had with the tool was making a bend with a short leg. I had a fitting that only had about 1.75" of clearance before it would hit the frame. I had to flare the line and put my fitting on before bending. This made it difficult to make the leg short enough to fit in the space. I had to get "creative" to make it work.

Works GREAT for me ..

It works with copper-nickel or steel tubing. Consistently makes as tight a 90* bend as I will ever need. All metal, small and light, delivers accurate bends. Small tubing sizes can use the larger tubing positions for larger radius bends.

Excellent tool for bending small diameter tubing.

Bought this for bending 1/4 stainless steel high pressure 7,500 psi tubing. It takes a bit of force to bend this type of tubing and the small handles of this tool necessitate having a good grip. But the small size of this tool also makes it easier to use for small tubing. Overall, I am very pleased with this tool.

Exellent/convenient tube bender...can't beat the price.

I own a large tube bender, but it's cumbersome and takes two hands to operate so I ordered the Capri Tube Bender to bend lines on my 68 Camaro. I was bending Steel and CopNic lines and had more success curling a few 3/16 (tight 360 curl) and 1/4 steel lines (45-120 degree). When attempting the same 360 with the a 1/4 CopNic line, the tool crushed/cut the line (it was the soft metal). However, this little bender was so much easier to use than my large bender and worked flawlessly when I stayed w/i the recommended bend radius. Also, it's great for tight spots (dry fitting adjustments under the car were a snap...impossible with my larger bender)! After less than 1 hour, the little bender lost some luster as paint flaked off the working parts, but this did not affect the bending performance. I'm not sure of the durability, but for the price and amount of effort and time saved, I would recommend the Capri Tube Bender.

Works well and accurate.

This tool is good quality. I've used it with 3/16" steel brake tubing. It bent the tubing perfectly every time. The tool pieces are fit tightly together so that there is no slop in the unit as a whole. This is a great thing! I've had trouble with small tubing benders in the past (different brands) due to sloppy fittings in the tool that allowed the tubing to move around and even bend slightly sideways. On this unit, the connecting bar between the top and bottom handles is VERY THICK. I believe this is what helps it be so solid. This is well-built.

Stop trying to create smooth bends by hand

I love that I can recreate small diameter bends in brake line without crimping with this tool. It’s fairly easy and straightforward to use but I practiced a bit on some scrap line before bending the lines for the car. It’s also much easier with Nickel copper line.

Muy práctico, tamaño ideal para espacios reducidos

Lo compre solo por la posibilidad de doblar tubo 1/8, pero es muy práctico y se ha vuelto mi doblatubo principal, para tubería de 1/4 en refrigeradores y neveras.

Herramienta Útil

Small size 3/16 bender

For some unknown reason, most benders don't support 3/16 tube. This bender works like charm.
