Not for Everything

The biggest thing to consider is what are you planning to skewer. My husband skewered chicken and veggies, but fed them onto each spike. Okay, that works, but when you go to "de-skewer", you can't use the push part as the spikes are now splayed. So, skewer something large enough that it needs both of the spikes so the removal feature can just push straight down. A second consideration is you need heat protection to use the removal feature as it has also been sitting on the hot grill. We are going to try them next with larger items.

probably good for soft veges

I bought these so we could do baked potatoes over the fire pit but they are quite large and not sturdy for potatoes - I am sure they would be fine with veges. I like the idea that you can push the veges off without touching them, but, again, no potatoes. They are too hard and heavy.

Near perfect

It's a good size for what I wanted. The prongs are sturdy and not thin. The only thing I didn't like was how it made my teeth feel when using the sliders to push meat off the skewers...like nails on a chalkboard...but that's probably just me.

Simple, sturdy, and serve their purpose.

Exactly what I expected. Study and simple. No frills, so nothing to break. Skewers hold plenty of meat and veggies. We made two per person but most people were only able to eat one. Only downside is the handles DO get hot. I purchased my husband a grill glove and it worked perfect for turning them on the grill. I set extra pot holders out for our guests but they weren't as hot when it came time to eat, and most were able to go without. I washed them by hand so I'm not sure how they'd hold up in the dishwasher (rust). All in all a great purchase.

FLAT so they keep food from rotating on the grill...especially shrimp

I looked for a long time to find flat skewers. Very happy with them...except that are expensive probably because of the brand name logo on the oval.

Great replacement for wooden Skewers

I was sick and tired of wooden Skewers because they cant handle the weight of the meat and break. With these stainless steel skewers I didn't have to worry about skewers breaking and running out of skewers when i need them. Easy to use, long enough to hold enough pieces and easy to clean and reuse.

Not sliding

They are easy enough to use, however, when you do a skewer of meat (any kind) and veg, once cooked - you cannot "slide" it off. I found that if I used all the force I needed, the food might land in my neighbors lap. I ended up using a fork to slide the food off. I tried the second time, by spraying the skewers with cooking spray, but got the same result. The skewers are great - as a dual-type - but not for sliding.

Sturdy and easy to use

Strong and thick steel construction, so these skewers won't bend no matter how much you load them up. Easy to poke through meats and vegetables. Easy to clean, although their surfaces are a bit rough, so expect to have to scrub a bit to get everything off.

Just plain dangerous!

These are terrible. I returned them. They are not well made, they have jagged and raw sharp edges. They are poorly made product and I can’t believe it has the Cuisinart brand name on it.

Tired of buying bamboo skewers...

Tired of buying bamboo skewers that you have to soak in water before using and that burn anyway? These stainless steel skewers from Cuisinart are the answer to all of your grilling needs. Whether you are making kebabs or souvlaki these work great and clean up in seconds. Just be careful when handling them as they become very hot after a few minutes on the grill.

Not disappointed

Solid and not too long, not too short. Heat proof handle would have been nice, cleans up well in dishwasher, veggies slide on and off easily.
