It's a performance bike instead of a cruiser
Me: A foodie dad in the USA who loves to grill and has a couple decades of experience with serious grilling, smoking and outdoor roasting, up to and including whole hogs. Also, I'm an engineering geek that notices things that many less technical people overlook. You: Somebody who wonders if a portable grill is worth owning. My review: (This first review is being written after owning the grill for a week and using it several times. I promise to post updates as regards durability or other emerging issues) I like this grill, and here's why. It's well built. All stainless, quality fittings, includes a heavy gauge propane fitting (note: uses a standard 20lb propane tank, not a camp bottle). It zooms up to 600 degrees (F) in less than ten minutes, and cools to the point I can remove the grate with my bare hand within twenty minutes after I turn it off. The built-in thermometer is accurate and agile (it reflected with perfect accuracy that it was 100F in the Carolinas the first day I set it up). Initial setup required no tools and was no more difficult than unboxing, unfolding, and placing the burner covers and cooking grill in the right place. My first cook were some gigantic boneless chicken breasts I bought at Sams. I thought they were big in the store, but when I removed them from the package for marinating, I double-checked to make sure they weren't turkey breasts... more than an inch thick at the wing-turn even after I broke them out for grilling. I was able to cook them perfectly with the right amount of char by paying attention... even with vegetables on the grill beside them. Steaks were next, and I got a perfect medium rare NY strip in 8 min after preheat. Every working surface is stainless steel, even the burner shields and the bottom of the oven, which makes cleanup easy. The legs fold up and the lid latches to the side, so that you can carry the grill like a suitcase and store it either horizontally or vertically (like you'd store a suitcase). When they say tabletop, they aren't kidding. I stuck a thermometer on the table under the grill after it was preheated to see how much heat transferred. The air temperature rated only 5 degrees above ambient, and I couldn't detect the difference with my fingers. There is a sealed bottom design with a large capacity, removable (slides out to the side) drip tray (also stainless steel) which collects an estimated 2 quarts of drippings, so there's no reasonable way you could overflow onto your tabletop unless you're cooking 50+ cheap burgers at a go. I'm confident that you could cook 4 steaks and 8 pieces of chicken inside on your dining room table without messing up anything if you disable the smoke detectors. What you need to know: 1. The dome is very shallow. You won't be able to cook a whole ham in here, although a pork shoulder just fits. 2. The stainless steel is well engineered, but light gauge. This is to enhance portability and (undoubtedly) reduce cost of manufacture. This means that it heats up and cools down quickly, which is convenient if you're moving the grill around and cleaning it, but inconvenient if you want to heat up a grill and have it hold its temperature, which leads us to my next point... 3. The light gauge steel plus the shallow dome means that opening the grill top to turn or braise will cost you at least 50F, and often 100F. It only takes 1 minute to regain heat again, but purists should take note. This is why I call it a performance bike. 4. Because it cools quickly and all the surfaces are stainless steel, I was able to serve dinner, eat, and then remove the cooktop, burner covers, and drip tray and put them in the dishwasher along with the rest of the dishes. This was my favorite feature of the grill... I've never had one that I could clean with a dishwasher, and using the same schedule I'd use to clean up the kitchen after dinner. This one feature was worth almost as much as I paid for the grill. 5. Indirect cooking was super easy due to the 2-burner configuration and the shallow dome. You can turn on one side, sear your meat, and then move it to the other side of the grill to finish cooking. When you close the lid with the shallow dome, this works better than it works on a Coleman kettle grill. Will post updates.

So happy with this BBQ!
We have been searching for a top notch, reliable, good quality BBQ for a while now and THIS is the one we have been looking for. It's all beautiful stainless and easy to keep clean. I find the (2) easy turn knobs to start -on each side with each burner, VERY easy to use and operate. Gets hot real quick and easier to control temp than others. We tried another bbq before this one and that ended up rusted out only after 6 months of regular use and a few legs broke off. So glad we finally found the best BBQ.

Convenient Grilling at Last!!
Finally a convenient grilling solution! I like to grill, but don't do it very often because I live alone & it just doesn't seem worth the effort to drag out a huge grill, make several trips back & forth across yard, then put grill back away once it cools... With this grill, I set it up on the table on my porch with the cover (sold separately) installed; when I want to grill, I simply take a few steps out back door, remove cover, preheat & grill; then reinstall cover once grill is cool. So much more convenient than full size grill, but almost just as much capacity!

Works great!. Very pleased.
This was the perfect size to fit in my Travel Trailer. The Capital Grill that came built in to the trailer could barely heat a hot dog. This unit has plenty of heat for my needs and is light enough to move in and out of the storage compartment to a folding table or any other surface you want to use. Mine arrived slightly damaged from shipping. Not enough for me to go through the hassle of returning it. Overall it’s a great buy!

Awesome grill and nicely portable
This grill is great the actual grill surface is small rolled steel hold heat great and doesn’t warp like the cheap thin stuff I use this grill 3 or more time a week and have for past few months thinking I might buy a second to keep in my motor home.

A great grill
I love this grill. It’s sturdy. Cooks evenly. I have found propane grills to have hot spots and cold spots, not this one, it cooks evenly everywhere. I also have found other grills control knobs to not have much difference between the high and low settings. Not this grill, you can go low and slow or high to seer something off quick. I’m incredibly happy with this purchase.

Novice to Pro with this product!
The even heat distribution makes for moist tender meats. What a great way to make the family happy and keep us eating healthier at the same time. It will keep you grilling and chilling!

A disgrace
If anyone could tell me if Cuisinart has dropped in quality and craftsmanship? I changed the rating from 2 to 1 star. Terrible purchase. Amazon staff were great though in helping out and sent another one promptly. It's just a very very very bad product with inaccurate advertisement. It won't last even 1 year.

Cooks amazing but not solid
So far used this for 3 weeks camping. The steel grill is perfect for leaving char marks. The grill heats up quickly and is very easy to clean. I found the bbq itself to be flimsy. When the lid is latched closed it distorts the shape and will not sit flat. The legs are a very thin material as well. When cleaning the grill or attempting to spatula flip food the whole bbq moves as the bottoms of the legs are very slick with zero grip. This would have benefited from rubber grommets on the bottom of each leg. Mine came missing a rubber grommet in the I'd where it closes to the frame but after 3 months I finally found something to fit there. Overall happy especially compared to some other brands that are cheaper. This said I still think this is way over priced. I'd recommend at $200 but at this price it doesn't match my expectations.

Table top BBQ
This product can be dangerous because of very poor grease control,we had a fire under the burners cooking a few pork chops. Very hard to clean inside and out,I do not recommend this product. Very disappointed and will discard properly.

Broke after second time of using
I bought this as a gift for my aunt. She's an older lady and would've mainly used it when she'd had friends and family over. She only got to use it TWICE well if we can call the second time a usage as it stopped working in the middle of her using it. Since the 30 days period was over Amazon couldn't help me. They told me they couldn't contact the manufacturer and it was my job to do so as they might offer a 90 days guarantee. We're few days away from the 90 days expiring and Cuisinart are stilll yet to contact me. I contacted amazon for the 2nd time in 20 days and their giving me the same answer. Save your money.

Great little two burner
This BBQ replaced our primary BBQ, even though it’s portable- we didn’t want a huge grill on the deck anymore. Bought the folding table that matches the set- a little unstable but mindful when using. BBQ auto ignites, which is great. The BBQ comes ready to attach to a large propane tank as well which we loved as opposed to having to buy a different attachment as they are usually made for small tanks. Also it’s nice to have two “burners” and control the heat/flame on both sides. Overall a definite win.
