Works great!
Takes a bit to get a good consistent run, but when you do, it works like a charm. Be careful not to get the RPM up too high, you can yellow the paint from a burn. about half throttle or less on a drill worked for me. I had to finish a few hard spots with adhesive removal spray and some elbow grease.

Expensive but worth its weight in gold!
I spent HOURS removing some decals from a PWC preparing for paint and new decals, leaving scratches in the plastic and fiberglass. This wheel blasted through the remaining decals in a fraction of the time with no damage to the hull. I wish I had known about this before I started but glad I found out before I continued the hard way. UPDATE: My PWC had decals on the plastic hood as well as the gel-coated fiberglass. I had no issues with the fiberglass but even at slow speeds you can burn (melt/gouge) the much thinner plastic parts. I will have to bondo over those gouges prior to painting and applying new decals. This wheel is still worth every penny but be cautious on plastic.

Remove Automotive Stickon Adhesives like a PRO.
This product is amazing! Makes Adhesive Removal a breeze WITHOUT DAMAGE TO SURFACE AUTOMOTIVE PAINT. In this case, Window Rain Guards were first removed exposing the original dual sided Foam Adhesive. (That was the no fun painstaking part!) With a little trial and error you will find the right technique. Tips that make the job easier as follows: MATERIALS 1) 4" 3M Eraser Wheel 2) Variable Speed Drill w/ Chuck Clutch 3) Plastic Razor Blade Scrapper (Photo) 4) Goo-Gone Spray 5) Soft Towel & Shop Towel TECHNIQUE A) Secure the Eraser Wheel to Drill. Set Clutch at half way mark and adjust as needed depending on Type of Adhesive to surface resistance encountered. B) FIND and START AT THE FURTHEST RIGHT SIDE OF ADHESIVE TO BE REMOVED. With the Drill operating in Forward Clockwise direction turning at SLOW SPEED, Start by Approaching the PLANE of the SURFACE with PLANE of the wheels narrow width exterior surface; In other words... PARALLEL. For best results keep these two surfaces as parallel as possible. This will maximize the effectiveness of the removal while wearing the earser wheel's surface evenly. C) Finding the amount of pressure needed is done by adjusting the speed of the Drill. DO NOT OVER SPEED; THAT may overheat the surface or Drill. When in doubt, step away for a bit to cool and resume. The trick is to find the best balance of Drill Speed, Pressure of Wheel against Surface, and Rate of moving against product to be removed. ADJUST THE CHUCK CLUTCH FOR THE APPROPRIATE RESISTENCE ENCOUNTERED. D) Move from the exterior edge that is to be removed and allow the complete peeling off of product before moving on. POGRESS IS BEST BY SLOW STEADY & CONSISTENT BALANCING PRESSURE, SPEED AND RATE OF MOVEMENT. After completing first pass. Go over area again to catch remaining residue. E) Using a Shop Cloth, gently brush off surface of all chucks of adhesive/rubber Eraser. F) DETAILING The older the material to be removed the more likely this next step will be needed. This was done on a 15 year old truck removing Factory Original Window Rain Guards. To remove anything left behind, lightly mist GOO-GONE over area. Immediatly follow by using ONLY a Plastic Razor (photo) on the Goo-Gone sprayed area. Approach the wet Surface at a very low angle so not damage paint. Wipe off using Soft Cotton Towel (Old White T Shirt works well) WASH. WAX AS DESIRED TO RESTORE PAINT PROTECTION. G) STAND BACK AND ADMIRE YOUR HANDYWORK. GREAT JOB - LOOKS AWESOME!

Magical
Removed the adhesive left behind from old badging on my Yukon. Very quick and doesn't damage the paint.

Love having a product that works as it has been advertised.
This worked excellent. I used it to remove a rather thick adhesive that bonded my keel saver on my fiberglas boat hull. It tremendously sped up the process of removing the old keel saver glue residue and installing the new one without damaging the gel coat.

It works - IF - you follow directions & tips.
I used this to take a decal of the front fiberglass cap of my class C RV. It works, but YOU MUST BE PATIENT, it takes time but it does work. 1. Do not buy the wheel & mandrel combination (item 07498). The wheel is great, the mandrel is USLESS. The wheel threads on to the mandrel but when you use it, as soon as you stop, the momentum un-threads the wheel and sends it rolling across the floor. Just get the wheel only (item 07499) and make your own mandrel from a 3/8-16 hex head bolt, 2 1/2” long. Buy the bolt, 2 flat washers, 2 lock washers, a 3/8-16 hex nut and put it together as shown in the picture. Take some good advice and do this inexpensive step, otherwise you’re in for a world of frustration and cursing, and you’re gonna wind up doing it anyway so do yourself a favor and pay attention to what I’m telling you here. 2. Read the directions - round over the edges of the wheel first. 3. Read the directions - advance the wheel into the decal AGAINST the rotation of the wheel. Don’t let the wheel put itself across the decal, that will make a mess that’s much harder to clean up. 4. RUN YOUR DRILL ON SLOW SPEED. YOU BETTER PAY ATTENTION TO THIS ADVICE OR YOU WILL MAKE A BURN MARK ON THE FIBERGLASS! 5. Be patient. Take your time. It progresses slowly, and your forearms will be burning from the strain of trying to hold the drill in the right position. Take a rest, then continue. It does the job but it’s not easy like erasing chalk off a blackboard. It’s a workout, but the decal comes off - slowly. 6. Some glue residue remains. Try cleaning with Goof Off, or WD-40, or rubbing alcohol. Then wash & rinse well. Wax & buff. I like this product, I recommend it, and I’d buy another one.

Removed all reflective marking tape from a Transit van
I cannot stress how effective and timesaving this 3m stripe off wheel is. Finally a tool that lives up to the description. It has removed the red vinyl reflective tape from round the rear doors of a transit van, then yellow on one side x2 lines and silver on bonnet and upper roof panel in a couple of hours using a cordless drill, started with slowest speed and just increased till it was working efficiently. No glue residue left behind just clean paintwork. Day 2 showed it will also work on Diamond Grade ECE 104 Reflective Tape and similar honeycomb reflective tape. Mine was double layered so the glue residue left behind after 3m wheel use needed softening with tar remover, the thick removed with a plastic scraper, then wiped over with a microfibre cloth and tar remover. Van is now back to stock and just needs a wash and polish. This 3m wheel is worth the cost, and it still has life in it for another job and another day.

WATCH OUT!
I want to love this, I really do but wow it bit me PLEASE PLEASE CHECK what is under the paint of what you're using this on! I used it on the roof of my navara, and I presumed my truck was made of something other than cheese, and this merrily chewed a couple mm into the roof which so far has cost me £100 and may yet cost me another £150. Can't blame it on the product, but don't do what I did! I don't assume to be a newbie at this, but yeah, just check check check.

Not as good as I was led to believe
Not as good as I was led to believe. It will cut through the vinyl if you use the edge, but it is difficult to clear off the last bits. It also leaves a brownish mark on white surfaces. Not the miracle solution I'd hoped for. having said that, I haven't found any better solution.

Better than expected
The previous owner of my car had installed a clear film protector on the hood and fenders. It has recently started to look pretty beat up so I peeled the film off but nearly all the adhesive was left on the car. Tried using goo gone automotive cleaner and that did next to nothing. With this wheel and a couple passes over the adhesive I got all of it off! I am so impressed! I did find that it leaves a thin film and rather than trying to use the wheel for all of it a combination of the goo gone and the wheel worked great. I will definitely be de-badging future vehicles with this. Would still recommend polish and wax after using this product. Just for reference it took me about 2 hours to do 3 passes and I only used about 1/4 of the wheel.

Magic
This wheel works absolutely awesome! Peeled off stubborn baked on decals off a truck door without leaving hardly anything for a mark on black paint that shows everything. A little wax and it’s like nothing was ever there. I tried heat and it would soften it enough so I could scrape small pieces at a time and it would’ve taken forever. If decals are not baked on I would still use a heat gun and peel them but for ones that are baked on this is the only way to go.
