Worked great for my project

The media could not be loaded. I had to measure and make multiple cuts to some vinyl. It worked like a charm. Easy to fill.

Sturdy Home Grade gadget

Everything was fine for the price I received this item for. The disengage switch is inconsistent and the chalk refill door needs to be opened with mechanical (screwdriver) assistance. I would recommend this item regardless of this flaws as the price is well within reason.

Well thought out design

Usually if you've used 1 chalk line, you've used them all. I didn't think there's alot of ways to make to improve a string u pull tight and pop but I gotta admit, boy I was wrong. Everything from the overall shape that makes it more comfortable to the hand, the lock switch u use to pull it tight, down to the reinforced string itself so you don't have to worry about breaking, no matter how far or tight you pull it. The only thing keeping it from five stars is the "one way" fill valve on bottom that's supposed to let chalk in but not out isn't the best. I ended up just epoxying it closed to stop it from leaking chalk into my tool belt. Other than that, it's pretty damn impressive

Good snapline for a good price

Lufkin makes good products. Tape measures, snap lines etc. Even though this is made from plastic, vice aluminum or steel) it's durable and a good value

Awesome aluminum body, terrible line, terrible reel

Aluminum body is awesome, the head it comes with is absolutely useless, it does not fit over a 2 inch nail. Everyone at work has the normal plastic and rubber case of the crescent chalk lines so I purposely bought this aluminum one so I wouldn't get it confused with another person's. I work in construction layout so this is something I use everyday, 5 days a week. The line is absolutely garbage. I've had the line snap 6 times in one day when pulling it tight over 10-15 metres. The reel also gets jammed pretty frequently and I'm still not sure what is causing this or how to fix it completely. A temporary fix I've figured out is to take it apart and then put it back together and it reels nice and smooth like the day I got it. You don't even have to clean it, just take it apart and then put back together. I really do like how you can pull it out and retract the handle, which was the major selling point for me. Only tajima chalk lines have this function I believe as well, but are kind of expensive. My coworker who does the same thing as me has the rubber and plastic crescent chalk line and has never experienced the line snapping like mine, which is weird. The line also only snaps near where I tie it to the head, it doesn't snap at the connection.

Hmm

I ordered this chalking thinking it looked very durable and could handle constant use. However I was sadly mistaken. The 1st day of use, the winder stem to retract the line broke as it is a molded plastic unit.....that socks! Ima framer and am in constant need of my line. Then as time went on, 1 weeks worth :/ the metal fork that grips the edge, bent and is not as solid as I thought. My overall thought on this item; it does leave a good mark when you snap your line, but because of the plastic handle/winder, I would not recommend this product for commercial use, and would not buy another one.

Absolument pas robuste

Malgré l'aspect robuste, qualifié de "guenille" par min conjoint qui l'utilise sur ses chantiers de maçonnerie. La corde fournie dessus casse à rien, l'enroulement-dérouleur fonctionne correctement mais n'est vraiment pas assez robuste pour un usage de chantier.

Good chalk line, crappy hook

The line is nice, reels nice... everything about it is great value. But...how tf do they design these things not thinking that the claw will have to catch onto a nail?? The hole on the claw can't go over a 2 1/4 nail... absolutely useless trying to mark plyboard with angles...

Mauvaise qualité

Le premier la corde étais mêler a l'intérieur, Le deuxième l'engrenage a briser et tout ça dans la première semaine ! Je ne recommande pas ce produit !
