Easy to Apply, great texture
I bought the 4L package to do my deck and floor on my 23’ center console. I like the reusable packs it comes in, basically squirt it onto the surface and spread it out with a brush and then just use the roller to even it and texture it. I can’t say how long it lasts but it looks great.

So far I am very impressed with Kiwi Grip
I purchased the 4 liter size pack to restore the deck of a 19 foot ProCraft bass boat. Converting from carpet to non skid deck material. I considered several options on this project. The sand sprinkled in between coats of gel coat method. The paint with added non slip particles pre mixed. This product seemed to have all of the features I was looking for. I read the reviews carefully , watched several videos on the product. I then purchased the 4 liter package of white Kiwi Grip. It comes as four bags with screw on lids in one liter size. This is ingenious in itself for a paint product. Minimizing waste and making it very easy to work with. The bags have a gusset and stand upright themselves. I must mention, this stuff is amazing to work with. Use a simple sponge brush to apply and spread an even coat. Use the roller to bring out the texture. Don't rush, this stuff is very forgiving. Made a mistake? Hit it with the roller again. The end result is the most beautiful DIY non skid deck paint I could ask for. The material itself seems very durable. I have just completed my fresh coats, and they look stunning to me. I recommend two coats for excellent coverage. Some good advice is to work in smaller sections and to not try and roll this stuff out too thin. Apply an even, decently thick layer with your foam brush in the entire section that you want to work. Come back with the roller to bring out the texture, then move on to the next small section and blend together with the roller. There is plenty of time to work with this product given the heat and humidity factors aren't against you. I used this in Florida in the springtime. I am very pleased with how it handled. On the fiberglass deck area, we sanded then pressure washed the surface. The deck lids are constructed of aluminum. I used a paint removal wheel on a grinder to remove old glue and paint to bare metal. Then coated with an acrylic based corrosion resistant primer to seal and promote a healthy bond. I will post a more in depth review regarding how the product wears. I still have a good bit of a one liter pouch left for touch up. hopefully this stuff lasts and cleans up well through some good years of use.

Measure carefully and order twice as much as you think.
If you are replacing the carpet in your fishing boat you might want to think about this product. I have a 16 foot Polar Craft with a half console that is twelve years old. I could not measure exactly so took a chance on the smallest container and got the grey color. The color may have a grey tint but looks white when dry. The small can did do the whole floor but I had to squeeze out the last drops to finish and I did not cover as thick as you should. I ended up getting a second can and by accident got black. I decided to use it anyway because the grey looks like primer on this boat. (tan) The black does look better and this time I put a better coat on the floor and textured it with the included roller the way you should. I do have a little left in the can this time so have some for touch up.This product does look like thick paint but has a nice non slip texture when dry. It does dry fairly fast even when you use it in sixty degree temperatures like I did. If you use it when it's hot you better go fast or you won't be able to texture it when dry. The jury is still out on how tough and durable it is. I am writing this to give you guys an idea on how much to get and how to use it. I did sand and seal the wood before I painted this on. I painted it on with an brush and then rolled the texture in. The roller does not take paint like a normal roller. Looks good and should wash down easily. We will see how it lasts. More to come. expensive
do yoiur prep work and you will have a pleasing finish. ordered grey color but is almost white. they say it can be tinted but i used as is. have only had on boat floor for one season, so i cant speak to durability. does clean well with Dawn dishsoap and boat brush. will require primer on aluminum

One liter equils 40 square feet
This product turned out good but it stated 200 square feet for the liter. I had 50 square feet and had to make it stretch to cover. I don't know how I could have done it without making it really thin, that's not what I wanted but I guess it's what I have. Also it will not hide any color variation so make sure you blend in any paint underneath. Otherwise it made a real nice texture.

Kiwigrip is great
We are on our second 4l can of this stuff and I hope it’s the last one we’ll need. We got lucky and got a wharehouse deal on the second can. We do love this stuff but wish it wasn’t as expensive but anyone who know anything about marine paint knows that this is probably a really reasonable price. It’s easy to apply, I like scooping it out with a brush, plopping it down and then working with it. If you follow the directions you won’t have a problem with it. if you mess up, or splatter anywhere you can wipe it up immediately with no issues. One thing I did notice about the the white color is more of a cream white. You are able to color the white if you’d like however we did notice the grey kiwigrip gets hotter than the white so that’s something to consider if you’re thinking about going with a dark color on your deck. We have little toes on our boat so we switched from the grey to the white just to avoid any discomfort for the kids.

Amazing product
Likes: Easy to apply (mayonnaise consistency), coverage equal to or greater than advertised for sailboat aggressiveness, durable, cost effective, easy to obtain consistent texture, easy cleanup, fast drying, good for touch up/reinstatement of previous texture. Adheres well to sanded paint base. Conceals less-than-perfect repairs really well. I like that each Litre comes with its own roller. Things to watch for: Dries very quickly, particularly in summer sun. Keep a wet edge. Apply in very small areas (like 1 or 2 sq. ft) and remove masking tape as soon as desired texture is obtained. Otherwise, masking tape will be trapped by dry edge and tear in tiny strips. A helper is nice, but not required. Planning is essential. Mask areas that you don't want covered....roller splatters a lot. Keep a wet rag close to wipe up spills or splatters. Drys to a flat sheen. The no-gloss is nice for reducing glare but it gets dirty really quickly (white) and is a bit difficult to keep clean; a small price to pay for the benefit.

Renewed Floiring on Bass Boat
We ripped up The old carpet off of our fibreglass bass boat, sanded with a palm sander to remove any excess glue and rolled this on all the decks and hatch covers ! It was awesome to work with! It drys quick so you must either do small sections or pre tape and roll quickly ???? Only time will tell how durable it will be
