Fragile + Poor Padding = Broken

The item arrived on time. The shipping box was not damaged at all, nor was the manufacturer's box inside the shipping box. Since the condition of the box was in immaculate condition and the bookends were are gift, I did not open the box to inspect the contents. The box was opened a month later. The two bookends were wrapped in a thin layer of small bubble wrap. The bubble wrap is similar to padded envelopes. I expected thicker bubble wrapped for fragile marble. The pictures show that the corners of the bookends actually broke through the thin bubble wrap. After removing the bubble wrap, I noticed one bookend in immaculate condition while the other was broken. The broken bookend was missing a chunk of marble from the top corner of the "pillars" while the top of the bookend had come off. Thankfully the top came apart at the "glued" seam. My loved one states he will be able to "glue" it back together, but he should not have to spend money on a gift to "glue" it back together nor spend his time fixing a product in new condition. I have reached out to the seller to see if it could exchange the broken bookend, but since I waited to have my loved one open the gift a month after receiving it, I doubt the seller will replace the broken bookend. Please be aware that the item is fragile and to inspect it immediately after receiving the product. Update: The seller has agreed to a refund. Excellent service from the seller.

Champagne Marble Kathy Bookends Set

These bookends look even better in person. They were shipped quickly and were packaged with great care. No a single bit of damage. The depth of color and gentle curves makes them elegant while the weight makes them durable enough to hold heavy leather volumes. I highly recommend.

Beautiful product, first set arrived DOA, with broken in pieces

2) Update: New set arrived in great shape, same packaging so the first one must have gone through rough handling... 5 - 1 star for the first one.. ---------- 1) The column style looks amazing and matches my fireplace! But I was disappointed when I open the box and found both ends broken; one at the top and one at the bottom - Packaging needs more reinforcement, but it might well be from rough shipping/handling as it seems I am the only one here with a out of the box issue. I am getting it exchanged and return the broken one via Kohl's. I'll update to 5 stars if the exchange arrive safely!

Great Value

Heavy enough to hold books, small enough not to overpower. They have nice coloring, and classic shape. The bottom and inside edges are unfinished, so they are rough cut. This helps I think to keep them from moving. You could probably put pads on the bottom to keep from scratching though, since they don't come with any. Wasn't rough enough to scratch my bookshelf though, and I wouldn't be worried about it. For the money I think they're great.

CRACKED BOTTOM OF THE BOOK END--UNABLE TO REPAIR

I need to return this order--I WAS GIVING tHESE BOOKENDS AS A SPCECIAL GIFT. I WRAPPED THEM IN THE BOX IT CAME IN THEREFORE I DID NOT LOOK AT BEFORE GIVING! -- AS THE PERSON I GAVE IT TO OPENED THIS PACKAGE IT WAS NOTED -THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE BOOK END WAS CRACKED OFF-- I AM VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS AS I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THIS AND EXPECTED IT THEM TO BE THE PERFECT GIFT! IT TURNED OUT TO BE A DUD OF A GIFT--PLEASE SEND ME A LABEL TO SEND BACK. I HAD REALLY LIKED THESE BOOKENDS THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME I ORDERED THIS PARTICULAR SET AS I GAVE THE FIRST SET AS A GIFT AS WELL WITH NO PROBLEMS SO DECIDED TO GET ANOTHER PERSON THE SAME SET -- THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. Beautiful stone !

These bookends are GREAT! The stone design is subtle so it does not compete with the books. Not too big but very heavy. They hold the books up but don't take up much space on table. I have been looking for suitable bookends for a long time but they were usually either wire or medal with too much odd designs. I love these

Nice bookends

These are a nice size and heavy enough for hard bound books. I was pleased with the product and no issues with packaging.
