Great extension shears

Purchased these to trim hedges around the house. The extension handle add some length for cutting high branches, but only about 6". Corona makes very reliable outdoor tools and I expect to be able to use these for a long time.

Not Impressed with durability or customer relations

I owned this shear slightly less that one year. It worked as described for about 6 months, then I started having trouble with a critical rivet that keeps the two blades together. Finally the rivet simply fell out making the shears inoperable. I contacted Corona Clipper and was told to return it at my cost ($13.50) and they would send me a new one (at their cost). I stated to the lady at Corona that I thought that the product was a poor design, and that the rivet should note fail, especially with the relatively high use that it had in less than one year. She was not very sympathetic. She suggested a more professional shear that they carry -- Model AH 6970 -- and said that I could get it in exchange for the HS4344. However, I would have to pay the difference for the AH 6970 if it costs more. Well, Amazon sells the AH 6970 for less than the HS 4344, but this "kind" lady tells me that I will need to pay Corona $16.98 if I want the upgrade!!!! I reluctantly told her to ship me a new HS 4344 Shear. I asked her what Corona would do if the new shear also failed. To my surprise, she said they would not honor their warranty and send me another one!! In sum.. Corona Clipper needs to do something drastic to improve their customer relations. And I sure won't buy another of their products

Great and extendable

Like to use it always extended, so I don't have to lean over to cut low items. Why botter shrinking then extending all the time. Leave extended!

Heavier than most. Always keep your tool cleaned and oiled after a light sharpening.

Love but be warned they are heavy and will stengthen your forearms like Popeye. I wish I could also afford the lighter pair but I really needed the extra reach these give me. Easy change flip bracket to extend and retract. I hope they last
