I’m impressed
There is alot of Chinese crap out there these days so I was concerned about the welds on these when I ordered them but these days we don’t really have a choice. I ordered 2 pairs hoping that I wouldn’t have to send them back. All four I got have good welds and I can trust these with my life, after all I will be getting under my car with these holding it up. I’m confident these will do the job and at a good price too.

Pleasantly surprised
I've had these for over a year and I've gotten to use them more than I would have liked to. They used to have a bit of a lower price and pretty good reviews when I first got them, but I didn't expect much. However, turns out they were much better than I expected. They're pretty solid and have no slop especially when the key lock is in place. The base is uniform and all the legs touch evenly (sounds like it would be a given but I've seen plenty that I can't say match that standard). Honestly, I would by them again, though I don't think I will have to.

Haven't died yet
I used this to lift a car above my head and I didn't die. Will update to a one star review when I die from a car collapsing on me.

A much safer set of jack stands
I purchased two sets of these 6-ton jack stands to replace Harbor Freight Jack stands that were recalled due to actual failures of the ratchet system. The ratchet/pawl system is essentially the same in almost all similarly designed jack stands, and therefore this potential flaw exists in essentially all of these stands that do not incorporate some kind of secondary safety feature. Most jack stands are not exactly precision manufactured devices. The saddle/head castings being the most questionable components due to primitive sand-cast production methods. These jack stands use cast saddles/heads as well, but I noticed right away the ratchet teeth showed a smoother casting process, and/or the castings are finished with much greater care to ensure the ratchet teeth are consistent and more precise than other jack stands. More importantly, the added pin/lock ensures any sudden weight and/or load shift will not cause a potentially adhered jack stand saddle (the saddle sticking to undercoating on the support point for example) to lift the head high enough to cause a poorly cast ratchet tooth to slip past the pawl and collapse. Another common flaw is the cheap painting process almost always results in the pawl and handle sticking in an unlocked position. Again, these stands demonstrate a higher quality and standard in the coating process, appearing to be powder coated instead of the saddle/ratchet and pawl portions being dipped in what typically would be some kind of enamel or heavy oil pasted paint product - which inevitably leads to excess paint and sticking of the ratchet system. The body of this jack stand is constructed essentially the same as other similar jack stands designs as well, which is rarely an issue related to safety. The welds are more than sufficient and are of good quality. To address some of the downgrades and whining by some of the individuals here: yes, the factory boxes leave a lot to be desired, but damage due to how they were boxed and shipped by Amazon should be critiqued in that area, not here. Most factory boxes are not intended to be primary shipping boxes and won’t hold up, unless the shipping box protects the items. As for the complaints regarding scratches due to this... this isn’t intended for display on your mantle, and if you actually use these for their intended purpose, they should get lots of scratches. Perhaps they will produce a set of polished and chromed ones, shipped in beautiful display cases for those with aesthetic issues, to quell the sniveling. Who knows. But given the number of finish complaints, you would think there is a market for that kind of thing. Me - I use them to support my car when I need to get under it. It’s really not a neat or clean endeavor either. As for the individual who complained the company name was “misleading”... you have no business getting under a car if you don’t know what a jack stand is - and that a sub $60 set clearly won’t provide any “lift”, they just support the weight of the vehicle, like all “jack stands” do. Anyway - back to the product... The added safety features incorporated into these stands would be well worth a price premium... but there really isn’t one. These are competitively priced with less safe offerings on Amazon and elsewhere - so it’s really a no-brained buying these. I bought two sets of both the 3 and the 6 ton versions of this stand.

Good quality
These are the best money can buy! I love the added safety added with the locking pin. I never seen it on other brands and I always felt unsafe using similar products that did not had this feature. This should be a must for all brands. Keep in mind they are pretty high, they won't work with regular sedans. At the lowest level it is still way to tall for a regular car. I have a BMW X6M SUV and just for a simple wheel removal they don't fit under unless I completely remove the red part. So basically I am only using the gray part of the stand. If I want to add the red part as well I need to raise my car another 10cm

Tall And Strong.
Fairly well made stands with a reasonably wide footprint. They are really designed to use on a truck as they are quite tall, even when collapsed. Welds are smooth, but with a bit of splatter; one bead had to be filed off the foot to prevent too much rocking. After tweaking with a file, still a bit of rock, but not a great amount. Am not a welder, but I do feel that the welded sections could be more closely approximated. My units show a small gap on the other side of the weld seam..........Nevertheless used them several times during the past summer to hold up one end of an old, full-size sedan, (5280 lbs. GVW). Probably could have done with 3 Ton stands, but wanted a larger footprint. Quite happy with these.

Very safe stands
I use four of these (two sets) as backup to my QuickJack lift and have never felt safer under a raised car. The stands go high, have a nice wide base, and use locking pins (which should be mandatory on all jack stands, if you ask me). They're very heavy duty and are likely rated rather conservatively. They're probably completely unnecessary with the QuickJacks, but they give good piece of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to use these as my main supports.
