I wish I could give this 10 stars!
I love popcorn. Air-popped, stove popped, even microwave in a pinch, but most of all, I love movie theater popcorn. I go to the movies, not to sit next to strangers coughing and talking, but because that is where I can get the best popcorn. Then I discovered that Disney World sells it, and you can buy a reuseable bucket for $10, and refill it with delicious movie theater style popcorn for $1.50 forever after. We live in central Florida and have passes, so bye-bye movie theaters as I could now get my fix at Disney almost weekly! Then....Covid-19 arrived, and months have gone by with no end in sight to my craving for crunchy, salty, tasty movie theater popcorn. Ugh! So I began to think that there must be something I can do about this. Thank goodness for Amazon! With a little bit of research, my dilemma was solved, crisis averted, and I can now sit at home getting happily fat on as much movie theater popcorn as my heart desires! Check out my other reviews for the future Keto bars and shakes I'll be living on once I get my fill of popcorn! Ha! Seriously, I hunted around looking for what would be the best system for achieving perfect results and flavor for specifically movie theater style popcorn. I already own 2 air poppers, which I love, but it's a completely different result. I looked at several types of popping devices and decided on this one because it looked like good quality, being stainless steel and heavier than the aluminum ones. I don't like burned popcorn. This popper is heavy, sturdy, and pops perfect popcorn without any burning. It is extremely easy to clean, just wipe it out after using (and cooling down) with a cloth and it's good to go. It has 3 places on the lid where it snaps on to the pot securely, and this is fantastic because as soon as the popcorn is finished, you can pick up the pot by the wood handle without needing potholders, and with the one unsecured flap on the top, you can dump the fresh, hot popcorn into a bowl. The top also has 4 little vents that face in toward the center of the pot so that as steam and little droplets of oil escape, it is kept to a minimum and doesn't spray out onto the stove, or the person making the popcorn. The top also has all metal gears, and a stirring mechanism for the bottom of the pot to stir the popcorn around as it pops so that you can avoid burning it. This works great for moving the popcorn. I have made popcorn 3 times in 2 days, and every time I get almost every kernal popped, and no burning at all. So, here is my perfect recipe for popcorn that tastes even better than movie theater popcorn. Better because of the quality of the actual popcorn with no hulls attaching to your teeth, and in my case probably a bit more oil than normal because I have no pump for adding extra oil on after finishing, so it's all with the popped corn - but trust me, it's the perfect amount! I'm not saying it won't kill you eventually, but if you have to go, death by carb loaded fatty popcorn is my choice! Anyway... 3 TBSP Butter Flavored Coconut Oil - I bought Golden Barrel Butter Flavored Coconut Oil ($9.97/amazon) scant 1/2 tsp Flavacol Popcorn Salt - This is necessary and the secret to perfect flavor - ($7.80/Amazon) 1/4 cup good quality popcorn - I bought Amish Country 2-2lb bags Purple Popcorn Kernals ($12.99/Amazon) Turn stove on high, add oil, salt and popcorn. When it starts popping, slowly turn the crank to move popcorn around and when the popping slows to just a couple still popping, remove and keep stirring for about 20-30 seconds to make sure you get as many popped as possible, then carefully pour into a bowl and enjoy. 1/4 cup of popcorn makes a perfect amount for 2 people (or exactly enough for me). The pot makes 1/2 cup at a time and the instructions will tell you that, and to make it along with 3 tbsp oil. I did that the first time and it was a LOT of popcorn! Good for a family of 4 (but yeah, I did eat it all but it took me about an hour and a half, lol). the next time I decided to cut the popcorn amount in half but keep the 3 tbsp oil, and it is the perfect combination. Happy popping everyone!

Works great
This is my second one. The first one styled like this we bought had a bottom that was too thin. This has an extra plated added (it’s not gonna be like your high end triple stainless) and that makes all the difference. Popcorn doesn’t burn. Worth purchasing for sure.

wow , don't think 2x buy it now amazing incredible safe and yummy
You won't believe how popcorn can taste with this popper. It's safe metal, which was the first thing I looked for -- then the action of popping is so clever that all the corn pops , unless you put way to much in the popper- Use coconut oil and himalayan sea salt-- sprinkle with cheese if you like. Smells better than any movie theater popcorn you will ever taste .. for some reason its just science at its perfection

Decent product
My son loves making popcorn on the stove, so I purchased this for him. He has had no problems with it and the popcorn turns out good. The only issue I have is after only a few uses there is a discoloration to the inside, bottom of the pot that no scrubbing or soap have taken off. This does not change the popcorn flavor its more of an aesthetic thing at this time for me.

best popper and great value and only 2 minutes to get full pan
I have used this popper for years and love it; works fast and hardly any residual kernals left if any.

Great taste. Easy to use
Fresh healthy popcorn with taste!! Makes a lot so for only two I would cut the recipe in half. A breeze to make and to clean.

Beautiful, well made pot...best popcorn ever!
This pot is absolutely gorgeous and makes wonderful popcorn! The pot is made out of good quality material and disperses heat evenly and well, unlike an aluminum pot. We just used it for the first time last night and despite not having any experience making stovetop popcorn (except for Jiffy Pop, lol), the popcorn we made was the best popcorn I've ever had! Not a single burnt kernel either. The paddle really does the trick and is so much better than constantly shaking a pot. Be aware that you need to be careful getting the popped corn out of the pot and into a bowl...taking off the lid with the paddle attached, and a full pot of popcorn, requires a bit more care but it's no big deal. Do not use more than 1/2 cup of kernels otherwise the pot will overflow. While we've only used it once so far and can't yet testify to the durability of the paddle mechanism, I suspect that this pot will serve us well for many years. Now it's time to try making kettle corn!!

Partners' birthday gift...
...and he loves it! I effed up, as I didn't know you couldn't buy these in the UK, so it was late as it was shipped from the US. But it didn't take too long (week and a half-ish), and was several days earlier than estimated. I read the reviews on all models; I was concerned about a few things, so got the insurance, just in case. But I also made sure to get the one with metal gears, and even the mini-popping kernels get stirred, with no issues. Since it was a gift, I did buy a basket with gourmet popping corns, flavours, etc. We're N. American, so like buttered/salted movie theatre popcorn. But the gourmet ones are so lovely, just using good coconut oil (gives a creamy texture; you can smell it, slightly, but not taste it) and fleur-de-sel makes a beautiful, tasty snack. (Joe and Sephs' mini kernels are our favourite, so far); 1/2 cup makes a pot-full (large bowl). It's a quick and fun process. In a word: lovely. ????

Works very well
I am so happy that I bought a popcorn popper. I could not afford the high quality version but I am very happy with this one. It does splatters a bit. I bought also the yellow coconut oil and the Flavacol (extremely salty). It does taste like movie popcorn. I probably will use just peanut oil and popcorn most of the time as I find it very tasty too. The main thing is having a pop corn popper. No more microwave pop corn!

Easy to use, makes great popcorn
We bought this popper as we're replacing our stove with an induction range and needed a stainless steel popper. Previously we'd used hot air poppers but found they didn't last, so most recently we were just using a pot on the stove. This popper pops the corn quickly, makes nice crisp popcorn, and is super easy to use as there's no juggling towels over hot pot lids and constantly shaking a pot over the burner, just turn the crank and in a couple of minutes it's all done! Cleanup wasn't quite as easy as described...the lid is a bit finicky to clean because of the hinges and moving parts, so I think wiping with a paper towel is the safest method for that, then I wash out the pot with soapy water, rinse and dry. Also, be careful about putting too much popcorn in because if the pot fills right to the top during popping, it becomes difficult to turn the handle. The directions say to use 1/2 cup but we found that to be just a bit too much. It may depend on the brand of popcorn though, so I would recommend starting with 1/3 cup and going up from there if there's still room in the pot when it's done. Overall we're very happy with this popper and glad it's available in a stainless steel model so we can use it with our induction range.
