650c conversion / swap

I was able to make myself a set of 26" (559 mm) training wheels for my 650c (571 mm) triathlon bike using these tires. My rim brakes had the 6mm adjustment needed for the smaller radius of the rim. I bought the parts I needed all separately but if I were to do it again I would buy a used Trek KRX 26" youth road bike for parts and have all the parts I needed at once. Buy the right tube if you can find it but don't get a tube that can be used for a tire larger than 1.5" or it won't fit without wrinkles. As much as I can tell from a quick 3 mile test ride the tires will work as expected for a training road tire. They do have rotation direction marked on the side of the tire.

Fantastic Balanced Tire

Grips road well in wet mountainous conditions, yet is low on friction for good speeds uphill. Great, no, FANTASTIC mountain ROAD tire.

Good Recumbent bike tire.

I have had these for 2 years on my Recumbent bike and no problems. They have good traction and rolling resistance.

Sidewalls don't hold up well

The side walls dont hold up well on these tires. I have had more than 2 of these tires have problems in this area.

Lightweight 26" foldable tire

The Continental Grand Prix was everything I was looking for in a 26" foldable lightweight tire at 233 g. I don't have enough experience with it to comment on its cut and puncture resistance or wearability, but others have commented positively enough to cause me to purchase it. I think it is the perfect tire if you ride on paved surfaces.

Ein Hoch auf die Normung und die Größenangaben...

... passt nicht auf eine 26" Felge. Das Produkt fühlt sich wertig an und würde vermutlich auch seinen Zweck erfüllen, aber das Chaos in den Größenangaben frustet gerade ziemlich :(

Cubiertas perfectas para rodar por carretera con una MTB

Cubierta para 26" y 1 1/8, perfecta para salir a rodar en mi mountainbike, como juego de "carretera". El montaje ha sido sencillo. El ena io segun lo informado, embalaje ok.
