Great Tire
Tubular is fantastic. Strong. Durable. Fast. Balanced. Handcrafted in Germany. Enough said. If you're thinking about a continental go for it. If you're thinking about this tire specifically, do yourself the favor and look no further. Super fast.

Not bad, did get a flat.
I did get a flat.... but the tire reacted well to Stans sealant and the hole plugged. So, I am able to get more miles out of the tire. They roll well, I've done several hundred miles on them, not bad tires really. I even did a race using them. So i'd say they are all arounders, good for race and training. Back to the flat.... on one ride I had a huge sliver of metal sticking out of the tire, like a nail, but the tire did not puncture!!! Man and I was sure i'd be changing out the tire on the side of the road. The thing that brought these tires down was a goat head, or sticker, that we get in the southwest. Huge nail=no flat... tiny weed seed goathead = flat.... go figure.

Very very good performance at reasonable price
This tire has been my choice in the my half and full Ironman races (73 fulls-23 Hawaii’s )(131 half’s ) It is very reasonably priced for its performance and Dependability. When I get a 800 miles on my race tires , I put a little Stan’s tire sealant in and put them on my training tubular wheels.

Not so tough 'Gator'
My tires are getting old (so am I). I don't race anymore so I ordered four Gatorskins, instead of lighter Conti's, from Amazon. One down, three to go. The shortest tire life I have experienced in almost 70 years of cycling. With less than 100 miles on it the 28x22 Gatorskin on my road bike rear wheel flatted. I put a thousand or more miles on the old $10 tire it replaced that simply came apart due to age. The flat was probably due to some sharp rocks on the road. It could be just luck, but I have an old Conti Sprinter on the front that has done well while the Gatorskin, in addition to the puncture that flatted it has at least one 1/2 inch cut in the tread. If the other three perform the way this one did I will conclude that, 'They (Continental) just don't make them like they used to.' I hope the others do better. At more than $2.00 a mile I can't afford much bike riding. Fortunately I was only 20 miles from home so my wife was able to 'rescue' me before I froze to death (Anchorage is getting cool now).

Order the regular sprinter, these are no good.
Not sure what to say. I'm perplexed. I had great success with the regular sprinter tubular for years. Now i'm on my second Sprinter gatorskin in 3 months. The first one came apart at base tape and started leaking air. The replacement one just did the exact same thing with less than 100 miles on it. I'm going to try for a warranty replacement and start considering different brands. The trouble is the failure is not on the actual ride surface but at the seam in which the base tape connects to the tire. maybe I just got a bad batch? who knows. Not recommended.

Conti tub's are the Best!
I have been using Conti Sprinters and Competition tubulars for over 20 years and I don't think they can be beat. The Sprinter Gatorskins have very good tread life and excellent puncture resistance. Installation is good, as long as you pre-stretch the tire for at least 24 hours prior to installing. Tip: warm tire by placing in sunlight...makes stretching onto rim much, much easier. Recommended!

Purchased to replace a GatorSkin that had a puncture. ...
Purchased to replace a GatorSkin that had a puncture. They ride really well, and I use Tufo tape instead of glue to mount the tire. Plenty of YouTube videos to show proper mounting and gluing. Shipped promptly. Would order from this vendor again.

Good quality tyre. Easy to fix to rims. Good grip even on the wet.

Immer wieder
