Good but defective

This is a good candlestick holder, but what I received was very crooked. I’m very disappointed because it would have been great.

Love the rustic cast iron style.

I ordered this candle holder, as I feel like it kind of goes with the style of our outdoor table & chairs. I also wanted something that would keep the heat of the candle away from the glass. Lastly, we live in the Colonial Williamsburg area, so I kind of think it lends to our local vibe. One con is it was shipped in a brown paper bag with no padding & it ripped through the bag. The hole was big enough that it could of easily fallen out. Not sure that is the best, but did not seem to have caused any damage. It was a little loose, but tightened right up with a twist. It may be a smidge crooked, but strangely I think it kinda of lends to the rustic feel. If it was overtly crooked, I would not feel the same though. It might be better for where I am using it if is was a little shorter, but this is what I ordered. It is not fancy, but I really like it. As long as you know what you are getting, I would recommend. Happy with this order, but shipping could use a little work.

It is 2 pieces you need to screw together, If yours fits will it looks great!

In the end, I like it, but it does not show to its advantage, I've gotta say the customer experience with this was marginal. I had to go get a screwdriver with a BIG Phillips end to it, after I found the screw (At first I though tit got lost on the hole in the envelope it arrived in - but After shaking the bag and noticing something fall and getting a flashlight to find the screw, I was able to start to screw it in. It was not easy, but I need help to open mayo jars. The base and the stick are not flush: either because I am bad with a screwdriver or the fit was off in the three pieces that came in the mail. But I like the shape, the dish-bottom, the color, and the height. I just cannot give it 5 stars because I could not make it look 5 stars.

Crooked

Simple and rustic. Made of solid iron. Nice and heavy to prevent tipping. Only complaint (major) is that it’s crooked (see pics)! Threads are tapped off center. Bottom of the post isn’t ground to a right angle so it sits crooked no matter how you thread it. For $24, I at least expect it to sit right. Gotta break out the grinder. Like the style though. 3 stars.

Super sturdy. Heavy. Cast iron. Fits faux candles as well as real ones.

I like this candlestick a lot. When it arrived out of the bag the stick had a slight wobble like it was loose. I had to re-tighten the bottom and top, as it was just that one screw wasn’t as tight as it could have been. It was a quick and easy fix to screw it tight back on, but it still probably should not have arrived all loose like that at this price point. The color is a nice matte black. The bottom of the base has a slight lip/rim so if you needed something shallow held in the base you could do that on top of it. I used an electric, battery powered taper candle instead of a real one and that helps me enjoy this more than I would otherwise, as I have very little kids where fire safety is a concern of mine. It’s very heavy due to the fact that it’s cast iron- just like a cast iron skillet would be extra heavy for the size. It’s a nice height and I enjoy the slightly rustic texture and sturdy, long lasting quality of it. I feel like it will just about last forever and will be used in a variety of places over it’s life time. I think it’s a tad overpriced for only one, but based on weight and how sturdy it is it’s probably worth it, as cast iron stuff always seems to be a tad pricy in general. Overall I’d recommend it.

Very sturdy

This is a really cool cast iron piece and I really like it. Yes it is a bit crooked but if you turn it just right then you can't tell or if you take one of those felt pad circles and put in under the low leaning side that should fix it too. I know this might sound a little inconvenient however it is worth it. This candle holder has a lot of character to it and I love it!

Wobbly

The taper part is attached to the base with a screw. When mine arrived it was very wobbly as it was shipped in an envelope. I tried to tighten it, but it won't go 100% tight without risk of stripping the screw. It's very pretty and great for decor, but I'm not sure I would trust it with actual fire.

A relatively good deal

The towers and base are real cast Iron. However there are two pieces to each one unfortuneatly. I was surprised to find two of them. All in all it's a good deal..
