Used with SplitVolt to get 240 volt outlet into garage for EV charging

I paired this with SplitVolt to run 240v/30a power from dryer power supply through a wall into our garage for charging my new EV. This power cord's female end cover comes off to allow removal of cord from the box. Disassemble/reassemble was easy after cord was placed through the wall into the garage through ~1" hole. The female end is quite large for a 240v plug so being able to remove and only run wires made installation much simpler and allowed for cleanly cut holes through drywall. I would recommend this to anyone needing a cost effective garage 240v power supply for charging EV provided dryer is suitable located near or in garage.

Works great doesn’t get hot

I was able to cut a small hole in the wall for the wire fit through and reassemble the plug on the other side which is exactly what I needed. So far no heat on any of the plugs so it must be a good gauge of wire and materials.

Product is great. Amazon free shipping is not. I bought this to test dryers. We buy storage units and often times get washer and dryer sets. I test the equipment at home and it was a purchase to make testing dryers more convenient. Amazon took our money immediately then sat on our purchase without shipping it until 2 days before it was due. The problem; we live in a rural area and have a post office box. It was scheduled to be delivered on a Saturday. Our post office is closed on a Saturday. Additionally, Amazon had the delivery set so that it had to be scanned when picked up. The PO couldn't just put it in our box to pick up at our convenience. Purchased/ ordered on 12/28/16. It was not received until 1/9/17. The product itself seems great. I tested it first on my own dryer; a known good working dryer. I next tested it on a dryer I got out of storage unit recently. The dryer had a short and it smoked horribly. I was afraid my new +/- $90 extension cord had been damaged. But no. It held up well and worked fine when I re-tested it on my own dryer. It's a nice thick cord that allows me to test dryers in a different room than my plug. If someone I knew was looking for an extension cord of this type I would definitely recommend it (just maybe not through Amazon and their free late shipping).

Can put my dryer where I like now.

I was stuck with my dryer needing to be where the outlet was. With this, I was able to put it in a more convenient location without the need for an electrician. Works great, nice length, no regrets!

This review asked me to rate an extension cord for an electric dryers, get this it’s WARMTH , THICKNESS and SHEERNESS !!! 1 Star for its sheerness. Gotta love robots taking peoples jobs.

About what you'd expect.

Just what I expected, but the cord is really stiff and therefore hard to wind neatly or compactly. Included cord the wrap is flimsy and hardly secure. Plug and socket seem good quality.
