Some manufacturing defects, but still nice.

First thing I noticed when I got this was an advisement to not use harsh chemicals to clean it. Something that wasn't in the Amazon listing. This is a _toilet_ seat. Anything short of an autoclave or fire should be permitted for sanitizing it. I clean it with bleach cleaner, so far I haven't noticed any problems with the finish. Second thing I noticed was manufacturing (injection molding) defects. One of the latches came warped. The underside was deformed such that it wouldn't sit level on my toilet bowl. I ended up shaving away some material to make it better. Still I would have expected this defect to not have left the factory. However it is quite sturdy (I have some bigger guests and so I was really looking for a non-hollow seat). And although it doesn't have a quick release mechanism that I desired I believe the gaskets that came with it are preventing mess from getting under the latch. Overall satisfied with this purchase.

"Slow close" isn't the same as "soft close". By "slow", they really meant "ssssllloooooow".

My family likes to sit on a toilet seat when working on their feet. So I was looking for a sturdy toilet seat and this one certainly is very sturdy. Although it came with an installation manual, it doesn't mention what to do with the 8 rubber pieces that came with it. Fortunately, it was pretty easy to figure it out (and other reviewers have also mentioned in their reviews.) Other than that, the installation was super easy. After the installation, I had to come back and read the product description to see if it said "soft close" or "slow close". It definitely is "slow close". Probably the slowest I've ever seen on any toilet seat. I wanted "soft close", which I suppose this one ultimately is, but I didn't expect it to be so slow. But I am really nitpicking. It does the job and it works fine. My only concern would be the stress that the "slow close" puts on the hinges and whether that would have any negative effect on the longevity. I suppose only time will tell and I will update the review accordingly, if needed. It's good for now.

Nice toilet feels good to sit on.

Feels good to sit on, forgiving on the butt. My other toilet seat was hard wood to sit on and not that comfortable. Toilet seat is spacey more than large enough to take a dump. Like a King.

High quality

Not gonna lie, I bought this because of the video of it getting run over by a car and not breaking. A+ marketing strategy. While I personally didn't test that, I will verify that it is incredibly sturdy, well-made, and comfortable. SO much better than a plastic seat! Very pleased with my purchase.

It's a toilet seat for sure!

Well it's a heavy-duty toilet seat and the fact it has a wooden core gives it some ability to take a SEAT of any size! LOL! Replaced a totally thin plastic seat and it makes a world of difference. Once installed it did not move when I transfer to it from my knee scooter which is kind of an abrupt motion! Right now I have a broken heel that is casted and so I cannot bear weight on it at all for a few months... Since my new situation the plastic seat kept moving and it became unsafe. This one has been a sturdy place to land and my son was able to get it tight enough it has stayed snug through my transfering on to it. I appreciate that it is easy to clean and sleek where the bolts hold down the seat in back. Would and will buy this one again!

Fácil de instalar

Su instalación fue muy fácil, no se necesitan complejas herramientas. Es de plástico si pero su grosor es grueso, y su precio también me gustó. La tapa no baja lentamente pero lo entiendo debido al precio solo debo tener más cuidado.

Took me a while to figure out where the tiny rubber plugs go…..

Toilet seat itself seems pretty good - very sturdy and shiny. I bought this based on other reviews because I’ve had issues cleaning previous seats as the finish always seems to get streaks from even the most supposedly gentle cleaning products. So fingers crossed that this one holds up, looking at the finish I have high hopes for it. Will update my review if I am disappointed. Installation is fairly straightforward, however there are not really any instructions which didn’t bother me at first … until I found a little bag of rubber plugs. I spent at least 45 minutes scouring the reviews and questions related to this product but could only find vague answers. I search for ‘rubber’ ‘plastic’ ‘bumpers’ ‘caps’ ‘parts’ and even ‘what are these for’ - results might be obvious to the person answering but I was stumped . I tried pushing the plugs over the screw heads, but that was fruitless. Then I lifted the flip up bolt covers looking for a portal but nothing…. In fact the most helpful reviews ended up being the bad ones - those who complained that the seat was slipping. Combining those comments with the ambiguous answers from customers in the know I realised I needed to undo all my work by removing my shiny new toilet seat as these miscellaneous silicone covers belonged on the underside of my loo lid to give extra grip and could possibly stop future sliding I had the hindsight to take photos of my discovery so I could save some of you a potential pain in the arse (pun intended) This review might be a little long but I wanted to make sure to include any words that could help when using the search option. Only time will tell if my extra effort was worth it. … Ps mine doesn’t have the annoying seam that many previous purchasers mentioned.

Seat was easy to install and arrived as promised. Color was perfect as well. Now let’s hope it lasts as long as they say. If it doesn’t hold up I’ll come back and edit.

Do not buy - hardware rusted in under 6 months

Purchased end of august 22 and it’s beginning of Feb 23 so less than 6 months. Screws and hardware is already rusting. I need to remove before toilet gets stained by the rust of the screws are so rusted I need to cut them. Now I need to try and find new hardware that fits or buy a whole new seat. They claim hardware is anti corrosive but it clearly is not. The previous seat we had for 10 years had no rust. Only reason we replaced is one of my kids dropped something on the lid and it had a crack. Definitely not normal to be rusting after so little time. Do not buy!!

Great toilet seat

Just as advertised, easy to install and easy to clean. The seat has some weight to it and is solid unlike the flimsy plastic seats.
