Read product dimensions, pad is not actually 3' x 5', it is smaller

The pad is much smaller than 3' x 5' as stated in the main product headline, the product description does state the actual size (28 x 50 inches) which I only knew after I ordered 2, opened them and saw how much smaller they were than my rug and then went back to double check so it is kind of deceiving as any other rug pads I have had experience with if you choose the size 3x5 they are actually 3x5 or even bigger sometimes, especially if it is a product that can be trimmed, which this one states, "Easy to Cut". I have found so far though that despite being much smaller than expected that it does keep my rug in place...at least the bigger of the two (additionally both rug pads aren't even the same size, one is even smaller than the other). Minimally I think the headline should be adjusted to state what the packaging says, "Fits rugs up to 3' x 5'" so that it at least attempts to give a flag that it is not actually 3x5.

Does Its Job

Package arrived quickly in a bubble wrap mailer envelope. I order the small size for a front door rug. My cats are constantly running up and down the stairs and in the hallways, so the rug I have kept getting flipped over and bunched up. The rug came with a rubber backing that didn't help it stay put on our wood floors though. Ever since we used this rug pad under it, no more bunching or flipping of the rug. Occasionally, the cats will use their paws to lift the rug (clever bastards), but the rug stays in one place for the most part. The material looks like the same kind of material you use to line your kitchen drawers. Shipping was not included as part of the Super Saver free shipping option since it did not ship from Amazon but came directly from the vendor. It was a few extra dollars, but was still cheap overall.

Doesn't Work

The rug still slides around. These aren't grippy. Wasted my money and time. Grrr.

Good cheap rug mat

Overall this is a fine cheap non-slip rug. I have a tiny apartment and needed some carpeting to cover the space between my bed and door. This mat is cut to fit a 3x5 rug on top, but not 3x5 itself. Instead it is slightly smaller than 3x5 so you don't have to worry about finding a perfect placement for a rug of the same size. So far my rug has not slipped. It is doing its job. It does not ad much padding, but my rug is heavy and thick so that is fine.

GREATEST thing that ever happened to wooden floors and rugs!

We ordered enough of these for our bathrooms and kitchen. GREAT!!!!!!! WE have a couple of fun loving kittens who THOUGHT it just too much fun rearranging al of our throw rugs. Too bad so sad kitties!

Slip No More

I had beautiful shag bathroom rugs. The problem was, they were slippery on a tile floor. I used them with care for several years. Finally I got tired of it and I threw those beautiful rugs away. I got another set and made sure they said, "Non-slip." I didn't know then that you could buy rug grippers. I knew they had them for big living room rugs, but not the small ones until I was browsing Amazon one day and and lo and behold there were nonslip rug pads for small rugs. I had just bought another rug online and would you guess it? It slipped! So I got the Vantage Industries ECo Stay Nonslip Rug Pad for very little money. It works perfectly. That slippery rug is as snug as a bug!

Works for me

The extra padding is noticeable and this pad has kept my rug in place. I folded it under on one side (instead of cutting it) to fit to my rug, but the extra fold is not noticeable from above. I still sometimes catch the corner of the rug and it folds back, but I am generally pleased with this pad.

Just what I needed

It's really hard to find thickness specification for all the available rug pads - even Vantage's own web site doesn't tell me the differences between the dozen or so pad types they sell. Fortunately this is a really thin pad, which is what I was looking for - it stops the rug from slipping but doesn't add any significant cushioning or height. Shipping was slower than many Amazon sellers, but still within the promised arrival date.

There are better value non slip rugs

It takes longer to deliver and is more expensive than similar other products. Also keep in mind the size dimensions. It was too small for my rug and will fit only pretty small rugs.

Will gain traction with age.

Out of the package, this product did not provide the grip I was hoping for. However, after giving it a good stomp and about a week of use it is much better. The carpet is still able to move a bit, but having the underpad has made a big difference. Please note that my floors are 100 year old pine that is extremely slippery.

Used to replace 7 year old rug pads. Diappointing! Not any better than the old!
