Fits Makita router

I'm always skeptical these off brand things will fit...but it did and perfectly. My dovetail jig bushing included.

Not perfect but it mostly works

The insert fits well and is centered on the chuck. The only issue is the plate seems to be a few thousands too thick and stands proud of the base. I cleaned out the socket to make sure that was not the problem. I fix this by just double tapping a sheet of card stock to the bottom plate. If I used this a lot I would file down the insert.

It HAS to be included in plunge base set!!!

I have a Makita RT0701c router with plunge base (Enertwist Plunge Router Base for Enertwist ET-RT-710S Compact Router Kit) . Somehow this small and simple part is not a part of the set. This adapter fits perfectly and finally I can use it without "hacking" around with handmade bases.

Useless due to terrible machining.

This is the worst adapter I have ever seen. The hole in the middle is oval as it was over cut in places with the plasma so when it was cut in the lathe only half of the circle was machined. This causes the pilot bush to move about. All this is suitable for is the garbage. I will never by another product from shop fox.

Doesn't fit Freud 1700 router

Does NOT fit the Freud 1700 model router. It's too small and can't be secured in the seat for it. It seems well made though and Freud 1700 isn't listed as a product that it fits, so I'm rating it 5 stars. I bought it on hope. Just leaving this review in case anyone else is in my position.

excellant value

Fits perfectly in my makita RTO 701 cx7-1 1/2 HP router kit which did NOT include a guide bushing adapter. Be sure to install it right side up, you'll now what I mean when you install it. By the way, Makita sells an exact adaptor in a different color for 2x the price! Thank you Shop Fox!!!

Tengo un router Makita 0700 y le queda perfecto. Ahora puedo usar cualquier guía copiadora de tamaño estándar Tambien tengo un router Bosch, y tambien le compre un adaptador para guías estándar, con lo que puedo usar esas guías en cualquiera de mis routers y no me tengo que limitar por la marca.

Not Brass

Just got this adapter today, I was surprised to see that it wasn't brass but what appears to be stainless steel (it is magnetic). Since it wasn't exactly as advertised I tested for fit in my Makita RT0700C router with a plunge base. It fitted the on the base, hole is centered, and my Freud bushing set fit correctly. Only reason for 4 stars was because I expected it to be brass.

Nice Template adapter for Makita Routers

Nice accessory to get for your makita routers if you want to use the industry standard Porter cable template guides.Nice thing about this Shop fox version is it’s more than 50% cheaper than the makita version but solidly built as well.

It fits the Makita cordless plunge base really well. Cheaper than the Makita but I still find Jeff Bezos very disturbing.

Steel adapter fits perfectly into the Freud 3 hp base plate which will now accept router guides.
