Same as Orbit, just more expensive
A good solid brass Y valve with two solid shutoff valves with a solid level. Major grip is price. An identical unit in every way other than accent plastic color (Yellow versus gray), as an Orbit Y valve. Just almost double the prices. Has to buy it, as there was only one Orbit unit left. Search for Orbit 56389 Hose Y Shut-Off Valve.

Solid 1 year of usage
I've had 3 of these splitters. Two of the 4 splitters and 1 of the 2 splitter. Each lasted me a year, but none failed spectacularly. One year sounds bad, but I've had all brass fittings (other brands) that wasted me a lot of water after shearing from the bib or outlet while I'm gone, or having pin holes right out of the box. I steer clear of brands that aren't easy to turn the knobs on. If I need pliers to turn them then they are worthless. These are very easy to turn and the handles haven't broken even though the one spigot is in the Texas sun a lot. The 2 splitter failed by not turning completely off the one switch I used 95% of the time (practically daily). It would let some amount through, after turning to off position. Both the 4 splitters failed the same way --- the left end gave out during cold snaps. The first time there was likely water in it, the second time (yesterday), maybe with just "left-over" water as the water had been released and spigot turned off. It seems I would need to disconnect and bring inside altogether to maybe preserve them any longer. I don't believe any splitter can survive the cold whether it's all metal or not (physics kicks in). If you are expecting something that a) works out of the box b) lasts a year c) is easy-to-use d) won't fail catastrophically then this is a 5 star product. Good luck to you if you are looking for something better than that. :(

Fails Miserably (2-years later)
This Shut-Off Valve worked very nice for 2-years. Then it suddenly started to leak very badly (1) The shutoff valve that I use 4-6 times a week, failed to completely shut-off. about a third of the normal flow would flow through it when the valve was in a completely off position. (2) Water started to leak right at the shut-off valves when in the OFF position

Very well made. Heavy duty. BUT…….
Very well made.Heavy duty, BUT I would like for the ON / OFF directions on both hose sides to be present and visible because this is an added fixture / feature to the spigot so the known universal directions will be different for water to flow.

Great quality- last a-lifetime
I have a motorhome, i use this dual hose connector to hook up for water service, then having the extra spigot allows me to have extra hose outside while camping. Many purposes, this is used multiple times putting on & off. It’s great quality. Not plastic

Hit or miss quality
Bought one almost 2 years ago, and it is going strong in my garden. Haven't even pulled it in for winters. Bought a second for a different spot, and it came defective, leaking from the plastic on top near the valve. Feels heavier and seems sturdier than one from a different brand (Melnor) that I had and broke after 1 season, but clearly the quality control is not all there.

Fork in the Road
This cannot be used like a fork and is not suitable for use on a road (too many vehicles). What do you expect? It takes one outlet and creates one or two, as selected. Not very complicated. The plastic portion seems to be sturdy - including the ball valves - and should hold up well to repeated uses. The reason I selected this over another all plastic version is that brass is used for all connections. The brass should hold up well to repeated uses. I full time.

Total failure after one season
Worked fine for August/September last year. Fired it up again this year (April), and every outlet is spraying water out the sides. There is no way to tighten anything further. Any outlet whose flow valve is closed sprays water out the sides regardless of any hosing being attached, so even outlets with no hose attached will leak (the manifold itself has failed, not an attachment). Water was turned off for the winter, and it doesn't get that cold here, so it's just not built to last multiple seasons. Might do better if you detached everything and took it indoors for the winter, but I can't be arsed to redo thread sealant x5 each year and put stress on my hookup tap. I'm off to buy an all-metal manifold that doesn't use any plastic. It'll cost more, but you get what you pay for.
