It more bigger that it say
It was for a 10.9 ipad and the package inside said fot 15 “ laptops it is like 16” high but it look great and came faster that it say.

About a year later, and I've retired my second Cocoon GRID-IT. The company was very responsive, and sent me a replacement pack. Unfortunately, within a couple of months the should strap separated at the seams again. I love the design, though side pocket and bottle holder would be nice. The grid system was perfect for me. However, I won't buy another one because of the quality issue. I spent many months looking for a smaller backpack to carry my Surface Pro 4, a Kindle, required accessories, and a folder of papers. I didn't want an oversized backpack because I spend considerable time on mass transit and wanted something that would fit comfortably in my lap. This backpack fit those requirements very well. Style and Features: The grid system is a nice way to organize accessories, though you can spend an excessive amount of time figuring the best place to put each accessory. The size was exactly what I was looking for...perfect for the Surface Pro, with enough extra space for those days when I have a second tablet or a pack of work papers to take home. The front pocket was perfect for my keys and my Kindle so I didn't have to dig all the way into the pack to grab those items. If it had a side-net water bottle holder it would have been ideal. Quality: First, I recommended this pack to a friend. He had his pack for a week, carrying a 15" HP laptop when the shoulder straps ripped out at the seams. Less than two months after my own purchase I see the straps ripping at the seams. It is outside of Amazon's return policy so I've been forced to email the manufacturers customer service with my concerns. Customer Service: Amazon -- disappointed, but I knew their policy, can't fault them for following it. Cocoon Inovations: Correction if you read my last comments. Cocoon Inovations responded to my concerns immediately after my first email requesting a picture of my damaged strap. Results will be forthcoming.

Zipper issue
It's been a little over a year and the zippers are falling apart. This is the only design flaw I have found about this real nice backpack. It's used 5 days a week for work. An employee fixed it the first time the zipper came off it's track, that lasted 2 weeks and it happened again. I will not buy a replacement. Looking for another backpack for that I don't have to replace every year with light usage.

A great bag, but prepare to downsize!
This bag is a phenomenal idea with great execution. I have moved from a Swiss large-capacity backpack and so far I love it. It's very padded and comfortable to carry, can carry a general backpack's contents, and is small enough to fit inside smaller cubbies/storage spaces and under airplane seats (unlike a fuller Swiss bag). The Grid-it system is a great idea to organize your stuff securely and not floating around in pockets with other stuff. Just be warned, if you currently have a larger bag, you will have to downsize some of your stuff. An Amazon Tap, for example, won't fit inside the Grid-It system without moving some other items and larger items in general won't work inside the elastic straps and allowing the zipper to close. This bag is really designed for the person who needs their laptop, iPad, a book, and with a few other tools. No, it won't hold everything that a Swiss bag can but I moved to the Cocoon to downsize what I had to force me to carry less. This is exactly what I expected to get with the size capacity in the images I saw and I am completely and solely contempt. Over all, I would highly recommend this bag for anyone looking to downsize or who doesn't have much at all that needs a smaller bag.

Fantastic backpack.
Fits my 2019, 16-inch Macbook Pro and my 11.5-inch iPad - it is a tiny bit crowded but works perfectly for me.

I love this rucksack - until it fell apart
This is a well designed and versatile thin backpack. It holds more than you think, while remaining a very tight package. Great for the discardian. EDIT : The shoulder strap fell apart after a month of very light use. Seems to be a design flaw with the type of fabric and the stitching. This is a great bag and I'm returning it with a heavy heart. This isn't what I expect from a £78 bag! EDIT 2 : OK, a new bag was sent out, and the fabric inside is slightly different (i.e. a new batch). This time all appears well. I've used it for around two months and none of the stitching has come apart. Happy to return this to a five star review. This is a great design if you want a very slim rucksack for just your laptop and essentials. 2 stars back to 5 stars.

Poor build quality lets an otherwise good bag down.
One of the shoulder straps started coming apart within a couple of months. Now bad enough I’m going to have to get a new bag. From what I read this is a fault present since 2015, so I don’t expect it to change if I went for a replacement. Not worth the hassle. Shame as otherwise the bag suits me very well. Fits a 15in MBP, 12.9 in iPad Pro, bunch of cables and sometimes a small lunch box. The search continues...

The bag is slim I get that, it's written in the name. The material of the backpack is great but it's quite hard and this prevents the bag from expanding therefore there's not much you can do with the bag. If a laptop is inside with an iPad in the main compartment the bag has basically no more room the most you could add after the laptop and iPad in the main compartment is a notebook and a slim one at that. The grid is great but once again due to the bag being slim you can't put something thick into the grids compartment, for example a perfume bottle, it can be placed into the grids compartment but you find difficulty in closing the zip so it's a tight fit. I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting. All in all a great bag just not good for me.

Best bag I've ever bought
I'm not a super organised person and the type of person whose bag is a bag of clutter. I'd have to search through it for a few minutes to find what I need – in this case I see it instantly. It's also made me much more aware of what I need to take around with me and chucked a lot of what I didn't out of the bag. I can only fit a laptop and a couple of books/notebooks in the main section of the bag – which means I'm not packing spare clothes etc in there but also travelling more lightweight.

Quality not great considering the price
I’ve had this bag a little over 6 months and would say it is great for functionality as the cable management is fantastic and can fit most items I carry round on my day to day. However, the build quality is not great and the strap has started to fall apart just from the weight of the items in the bag. Will not but again.
