Replace the buckle

Good product except for the buckle. The best thing to do is cut it off and replace it with a 2 inch side release buckle.

Can’t beat CLC!

This is for the Contractor-grade belt. I really like CLC gear - in my experience it lasts much longer under heavy use (homeowner/DIY). I looked at a lot of the offerings by other manufacturers, but their products were overpriced and lightweight. This belt is comfortable and wears well when loaded, but isn’t in the way. It holds a fair amount of whatever you need - my manifest changes constantly, as I often rotate between framing, insultating, and drywalling. The pockets are deep enough for most tools, though a screwdriver longer than 6-8 inches will sit high and could be in the way. I’ll agree with other reviewers - the belt runs a tad large. I’m 6’ and weigh about 225 - and no, it’s not all muscle. My waist borders 36-38 inches, and I had to take up almost all the slack, and I’m wearing it loosely. If you have a smaller frame, this might be a problem for you. Also, the contractor grade belt has a different clasp, and I really don’t care for it too much. It works great, and is plenty secure, but it takes a good bit of fidgeting to get it open or closed. I might order the next belt up in price and use this for guest help (which has never happened before...). The apron appears to be identical to the contractor grade, but the belt is more of a conventional belt. I thought the contractor belt would have this arrangement based on the product photos, but that’s not the case. Overall, I really like this belt minus the two mentioned nits. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend.

Pockets are wide and don't need a belt

It is comfortable and it seems durable. Only time will tell. The only issue is that it was hard to adjust to my length. I think it would have been better if it was a plastic universal buckle, but it is a metal hook belt (if I am explaining well).

Thick leather - good value - fits smaller waists with some adjusting effort

As described. It will fit someone with a waist size 234 or less, but you have to adjust two parts of the buckle/strap to make that work- not a bid deal. Very thick strong leather impressed me for teh price. good value

Belt is hard to adjust and pouches are riveted in place. When it gets warm the belt gets loose. I keep a 7in speed square in the left pocket with pockets on my rear and it's hard to pull the square out and put it back in without slowing down. I had to buy a new more functional tool belt after only four shifts. The belt is sturdy though.

Overall good product - except the buckle

typical carpenters pouch. every pocket is where it should be. the one thing irks me every time I put it on/off the latch on the buckle is very difficult just a cheap latch. didnt rate durability as only time will tell if structured to last.

excellent value

it’s a standard design and standard leather material at lower price. Overall build quality is great and pretty heavy duty. The belt comes pretty stiff so it’s a bit difficult to adjust and take off, which I hope would soften a bit with use.

Very very nice pouch

This is a very very nice and cool pouch, lots of character especially after you seasoned it. Size is very subjective but frankly I was expecting it to be smaller

Heavy Duty

Item is heavy duty and very stiff when new. Will take some time to soften. Belt is hard to adjust and the clip is very tough to use, will have to replace for a buckle of some type. Other than that, seems durable and should last a long time. Good value for money.

Tool Belt

Fits very well. Can be a bit uncomfortable until you break it in. Otherwise quite happy with my purchase. Im able to put everything I need in the pouches. Very well made for a roofer.
