Great knee pads

My job bought these for me and when my son tried them on he wanted a pair for his work. He jokes that they are so comfortable that he looks for excuses to kneel down.

Better than I thought was possible and great with shorts!

CLC 378 articulating knee pad. This review is for that particular model. CLC is usually quality and these appear to be as well (only used a few weeks so far). They seem durable. The clip mechanism and bands are above average quality and fit. The padding is great. The fit is very good, I haven't had to keep adjusting the straps constantly like with some kneepads. I am well above average build and they are roomy for me. That's all what you would expect, but the articulating part is why I bought these, and it is awesome. It is more comfortable with less sliding down of the knee pad because of where it straps (calf and quad more so than behind the knee). It works great with shorts (necessary for me) and lets your knees get a little air when you stand up (reduces sweat since the pad lifts off your knee). Since I work outside in the South in the summer, it does everything I was hoping for in regards to articulation. Makes working outside just a little bit better and isn't that what a tool is supposed to do, make your life easier and better! If these hold up for several years, at least, they will be well worth the money. Obviously if you are looking to spend this much money on kneepads you are serious about kneepads and probably have already tried some. The only slight negative would be that since they come off your knee when you stand, occasionally when you go to kneel they are not in perfect position on your knee (slid to the side a little). They are still cushioned even if not dead centered, but if you had to slide on your knees a lot laterally (like doing flooring or auto work) they may not be ideal.

Best knee pad I have tried so far. Best combination of comfort, padding, and stability on the ground. They do slip down if you are walking around a lot. I think there was a "articulated" version that may stay in place better if you need to walk/run around. The outer surface is not a hard plastic, more of a high dnesity rubber substance but that can be a good thing since it stabilizes the pad better. I used for kneeling hard on gravel/rocks and it was fine but maybe not for super sharp/puncture risk situations like glass or nails.

Best Knee Pads on the market

Due to my job of shaving concrete sidewalks I’m on one knee 5-7 hours a day. The gel pads are by far the best actual pad I’ve ever used. Over the past few years I’ve had the opportunity to try maybe 10 different brands and these are without a doubt the best. I see a lot of complaints about the elastic straps.. They have one for the thigh and one for the calve, which eliminates the pinching that occurs with a traditional one strap behind the knee. The “buckle” snaps into place quite efficiently and there are little teeth which if you pull snuggly towards that direction the strap locks pretty securely into place. I’ve yet to have a pad wear before the strap gets too sloppy which takes a good amount of time to occur as well. If you have any problem finding a comfortable knee pad these are for you!

Short term product

I have had them for 3 months and they felt good at first. The gel is good for a while. If your planing to use them for long periods they will tire your knees out. I had to sew the straps together in order to shorten them because they kept on slipping down my leg. If your trying to go cheap and save your knees for the moment this product will help but not for long.

Best kneepads I've owned

This is the second pair of this type of pad I've gotten. I work as a landscape mason, so I'm kneeling in dirt, on gravel, on concrete, or on patios. My first pair lasted my about a year. I wish it would last a little longer, Pros: Great comfort Good for all surfaces will not slide down your leg Cons: Straps need to be tightened somewhat frequently. awkward to walk in lasted less than a year (strap broke) The comfort they provide is why I chose to buy the same pair again

could be better

im a ceramic tiler and am often on my knees for hours at a time, if not all day. These pads are ok for general traders on their knees from time to time. They are small neat and compact. often pads can be too big and bulky and get in your way. The problem with these pads is that they are all gel. Meaning that there is no actuall support for around your knee. so all of your weight is directly on your knee and not around the knee as in some other pads. The staps are good and dont fall down easy. they are well made and im sure they will last a good period of time.

Great knee pads.

I do alot of renovations and kneepads are a must!! These are the best ones I have had until now. They strap on above the knee and calf. They stay in place alot better than others. The pads are very comfortable when kneeling and I could kneel for long periods of time without any discomfort. Made of High quality materials. Because of it strap design the pad itself does not come in contact with your knees ( unless you are actually kneeling down on them) therefore you don't sweaty knees. I highly recommend this product.
