Easy to use

I've used this off & on for years. Easy to use, just brush it on the top layers of your hair. I have darker blonde color-treated hair and this lightens it up for spring & summer. Not brassy but you have to check it while coloring, otherwise you may end up with slightly yellowish strands.

It does work

So it did lighten my hair. But you have to really saturate it. If you have long hair you’ll probably need 2 boxes. Also comes out brassy but I don’t mind it. Before and after pictures included

Loved that i could highlight WITHOUT a cap!!!

I enjoyed being able to put highlights where i wanted without a pull through cap!!! I will definitely order again and again!

important to leave on as long as possible

Wasn't too brassy. Nice glossy finish. But it is very difficult to control the width and separation into discrete sections. Would have been easier if I'd had a second person helping me. As it was, I couldn't see exactly what I was doing and tried to guess and ended up with more all-over color than I had intended. Still, not bad. I would use it again, only ask someone to help or used a cap.

Not enough Product

I have very short hair, its thick but is cut short right at my ear. There wasn't enough product to apply on my hair. Waste of time and money, because now i have to redo this and live with whatever happens to my hair until then. :(

Can't Beat This Product!

I have used this product for about 30 years. It is easy to use. I even get two uses out of one box because my hair is very short. Therefore, by doing it myself, I spend about $5.00 each time I highlight my hair. (Compare that to the cost of a salon!) I have medium brown hair. I highlight about every 2 1/2-3 months. I purchased this from Amazon because the price was good and during COVID fears it was home delivered. I usually purchase it at stores.

Miss Cap!

I wish this, and had wanted, the cap. I didn’t realize you actually painted it on your hair, without a cap. Only drawback..and now I’ll need to buy a cap. Thing is, I did my hair like that for years and spent hours doing it, but I don’t want to now.

Great results

Was easy to do myself & lifted my dark brunette dyed hair. I did leave it on longer than recommended to get my result. Was not brassy, I got a nice balayage effect.

My first time ever doing my own highlights. I can't believe I did such a good job. It looks so lovely. Only used half the contents. Will definitely reorder and recommend. Saved myself $150 at the salon. Win win

Beware this is more of a red highlight and not the colour shown.

I’ve used product twice now so was aware that I would not get the darker blonde highlights that it shows in the photo. The first time I used it it gave me red highlights and I was ok with that even though it was not what I was hoping for. The second time I used it I followed the directions that say if your getting a brassy red tone leave the product on longer to lighten to shown colour. I did that not exceeding the max time and my hair was almost completely auburn red when it was originally medium brown with the reddish highlights from before. I’m probably going to have to go to the hairdresser to get the red stripped right out of my hair now.

Amazing product

I read the reviews on this product before buying it and most of them were pretty bad. But I decided to give it a go. The packaging is really nice, simple instructions and the hair conditioner inside is very very good! My hair turned out the color I wanted which was very light brown in the first 10 minutes! Also my hair was already dyed black but it worked perfectly anyways! I am so satisfied and thank you

Don’t do it

I read and followed instructions, checking and leaving on longer, and my naturally dishwater blond hair turned yellow and orange. It looks terrible and I now have to scramble for a salon to fix. Clairol... at the end of the instructions you recommend other products as toners. You should sell this as Balayage for fine medium blonde/light brown hair and a formula for thicker dark hair including the extra step. It’s the worst home result I have ever got. I am including how my hair looked the last time at the salon at the end to show what I was going for and how off this was.

ne prenez pas de chance!

Ho! non! aisseiller pas ça...pour ma part, mes cheveux étaient blond plus clair, avant d'utiliser ce produit ..ils ont tourné jaune.... c'est affreux!! Je regrette tellement...Je dois aller voir la coiffeuse pour réparer ce gâchis!..J'ai mis un toner 2 fois après pour améliorer cette gaffe!... normalement il enleve les tons jaunes, orangé et cuivré ...et mes cheveux viennent très beau....mais il a pas réussi à améliorer ma cause... rien a faire!! J'ai besoins de réparer ça et vite! J'ai l'habitude aussi d'utiliser seulement des produits (l'oréal Paris)!!! des 5 étoiles!???????????????????? j'ai ma leçon...
