Works fantastic
I was trying to remove a Nissan Titan (4x4) front hub bearing and it laughed at the 5 lbs sliding hammer that I rented at the local auto parts store so I tried my Craftsman air hammer on it as well and the bearing got a good laugh out of that as well. I ordered the CP7150 since from the stroke it was closest to the "Big Nasty" without the $200 increase in price. Now I'm not saying this is as good as "Big Nasty" but I put a 5' whip and Milton high flow quick connect on it as soon as it got here. I have all Milton high flows on my compressor piping as well. I also bought the Astro Pneumatic hub puller as well since this bearing showed no sign's of wanting to come off. This morning I did change my Craftsman air hammer to the Milton high flow as well since it was around before I ever knew about the high flows and what a difference they make. Anyway I went to work on the truck getting ready to find out how well the Astro Pneumatic hub puller was going to work but the CP7150 had other idea's. It broke the bearing loose in just a couple of seconds and had it spinning out, with a slight tilt it was also bringing the bearing out of the knuckle and the bearing hit the ground. Mind you my Craftsman is hitting A LOT harder now with the high flow but it still isn't hitting like the CP7150. For anyone wanting to know it's made in Taiwan but so are my Mac wrench sets, Blue Point tools and my next lathe will have been made there as well, Taiwan makes a lot of tools now and the quality is there so don't let that bother you. One of the best things you can do is make sure you have high flow connectors on ALL of your connections and you wont believe what a difference it makes. If you plan to place a quick change retainer on it I recommend getting the Grey Pneumatic CH1001. I have tried several of the quick change retainers and the only one I haven't had fail on me is the Grey Pneumatics, they are pricey but worth it.

DO NOT BUY FROM CHICAGO PNEUMATIC
UPDATE: Hammer is so unruly and destructive, it finally destroyed itself. I have not used this hammer too many times, and in retrospect, each time I did, I hated it. The mass amounts of vibration it causes would often cause the air hose connected to the hammer to crack, or it would cause the bearings in the coupler for the air fitting to go bad in some way that there were times that the fitting was stuck inside the coupler. Most of all, as I mention in my original review, this hammer has no delicacy. It's difficulty to control with no easy to way to gradually get up to full power with the press of the trigger makes the CP7150 an awful hammer. This has become a regrettable purchase and I'm currently trying to get the hammer replaced under warranty. At least the new hammer head bits that I've used have held up. Update 2: Good luck contacting anyone at CP for warranty. Their phone number directs you to an answering machine. I have, however, managed to contact them through email and there they need you to send the broken item to a 2nd-hand repair facility at your expense. They provide no other instruction other that. If you know, as well, why the hammer is broken and what part it needs, they can't simply send you the part either, as fixing the hammer yourself voids the warranty -- yes, the same flimsy, almost non-existent warranty you're trying to make use of in the first place. Update 3: In all fairness, CP did send the replacement part after I complained about it. It was the "valve" within the hammer. I must say, with the new valve in, the hammer has been rather smooth, a lot less noisy and less "unruly". What does that reveal to me? I got a hammer with a defective part. If you want a strong hammer, the CP7150 isn't a bad buy -- if you're lucky. If you get a hammer with a bad valve, then be prepared to work around circles to get the part replaced. -- Deleted original review.

Excellent !
I am a professional mechanic of 40 years. I have purchased many air hammers over the years and paid over $300 off the tool truck with fabled promises that they are The most powerful beast of an air hammer ever made. Been disappointed every time. So this time I figured "what have I got to loose?" I purchased this hammer and have been very satisfied! I am not going to tell you this thing is the strongest hammer ever made simply because I dont believe there is any test that could prove such a silly statement. All I can tell you is it works as good as any one I have ever used and it is a fraction of the price.

Worked great
Couldn't remove some stubborn suspension bolts. Went through 2 different harbor freight air hammers, along with hours of heating, pb blaster, and hammering with a 10lb hammer without success. This air hammer had both bolts out in less than 20min! As a disclaimer, I did run it higher than manufacturer recommended PSI from the start based on some other reviews because I was on my last leg and about to give up on the job. I don't know if I would have had success running at recommended PSI.

Highly recommended
This thing is insane. Have used it countless times to remove stuck, rusted in bolts, studs, etc. I have yet to find anything it will not knock free. Also good for popping rivet heads off with a chisel bit. The only downside is that the retainer spring has a very hard time retaining the bit because of how hard it hits. I chased bits around the shop for about 5 minutes before ordering one of the "quick connect" style fronts for this thing. Much better now. Still the best air hammer I have ever used, even compared to the "tool truck" brands.

Good Value
This air hammer seems like a good value for the money. It hits hard enough for my automotive needs so far. I haven't used the included chisels so I can't comment on how they will stand up. I like how this uses a spring retainer as I like to use shorter chisels for working in tight areas. I do not use the included oiler as it adds too much bulk but may add it to a different air tool. My only gripe is the lack of power adjustment. The trigger is nice and sturdy but feathering it is not very controllable. For me it is an On/Off type trigger.

Great long barrel air hammer for the DIY
I currently own this air hammer and a IR 1445GC. After being incredibly disappointed by the IR I decided to get a proper air hammer for automotive work. Believe me you don't want to deal with short barrels, save yourself the money and jump into a long barrel. This CP has a lot of beans and was able to drive out rivets for upper ball joints and also shear them off my chisel attachment. This air hammer hasn't had any problems separating ball joints with a pickle fork. This is a great tool for the DIY or even the starting technician, you will not be disappointed.

Very Disappointed
I've used this tool 2 or three times and it is only 5 months old and it has stopped working. Looks like warranty requires me to pay shipping both ways. I think instead of wasting money so Chicago Pneumatic can repair this garbage I'm just going to buy something different. This will be the first and last time I buy any CP. I know they have a good reputation but they must be allowing quality to slide.

Great tool and price along with 2 day delivery to ...
Great tool and price along with 2 day delivery to my house. I have used to chisel stucco on our house and have most of it off in a couple of weeks of part time usage. About 1000 sq feet of wall to make chisel lines both vertically and horizontally, then just rip off in big chunks. The longer stroke definitely gives it more power to break through the stucco. I had used one with a 2 5/8" stoke and you could tell the difference big time. For the cost it has saved me a ton of labor. Would highly recommend. I would also recommend getting a extra spring or two as I had just broken mine today. I had the Zip change spring on mine. Item 17c on the parts drawing that came with the chisel.

Do not buy! Already broken
Used less than 10 times and it no longer works. Just received it and falls well within the products described warranty. Spoke to the customer service rep and was told I had to pay to send it to Edmonton so they could determine whether or not warranty applied. Waste of time and money. Spend a little extra and buy a quality product. That is now what I have to do.

Works well
Very hard hitting hammer even without considering the reasonable price. This one is being used in a farm shop mostly for rattling stuff loose (bearings, pins, etc). I do find the trigger kind of hard to feather so take that into consideration if you really need to be able to modulate the impacts for light scraping or riveting.
