It's just a pipewrench......
What makes a pipewrench work properly is the quality and sharpness of the jaws. Certainly, the vise grip name gives you a comfort level that the tool will perform well.

Very strong
Very high quality product and it has a lot of weight to it.

Worked great for a seized bicycle seat post
14” pipe wrench: worked perfectly for a seized bicycle seat post that would not budge for any other tool. Easy to use, seems well-made.

Collect the set, save ‘em, trade ‘em
Like something out of my grandfather’s tool shed, I’ve never needed pipe wrenches until I bought a farm and started tinkering with tractors, then installing a well pump, pump pressure tank, handling 1-1/4 inch fittings and the like. Times I thought I might need one I could always improvise with largish vise-grips, but I finally after many decades broke down and coughed up the $$ for a set of 3 from 12-24” and have already made good use of all of them. Now to find a place to hang ‘em up for my grandkids to see.

Incredible strength
Used the 48" to service the hydraulic cylinder seals on my backhoe's bucket. With all my weight bouncing on the end of the handle, cap wouldn't budge. So repositioned the arm so I could use a come-along to pull the end of the wrench. Flexed the beam a bit but the Irwin won that battle. Next was the piston nut, which has a factory torque spec of 1232 ft-lbs and comes soaked in Loctite red. Same thing, I did not have the strength or weight to budge the nut, so a come along at the end of the wrench did the trick. Without this wrench the job would not have been possible to do at home and it withstood my unsafe abuse with no problems. I will be looking for a 60" next for the larger cylinders.

Great alternative to Ridgid
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love ridgid tools and beleive that they are made to the highest quality, especially their pipe wrenches. Ridgid hand tools is almost a synonym for pipe wrenches. In this case however, I honestly did not feel like paying ridgid prices. I found this online here on amazon and decided to give it a go. The item arrived and I immediately went to work with it. I ended up using it a couple of times the first day and then a few more times over the next few days. My overall reception of this product is that it is ideal, and everything one should look for in a pipe wrench. Strong cast iron which in turn makes this a hefty 10-inch pipe wrench...but it is extremely well balanced. If I were to hold this in my hand blindfolded, there is no reason why I wouldn't think it were a ridgid wrench. The only real difference I can tell is the color is blue and not a red or red-orange of a ridgid. I like this wrench so much that I already purchased the 14 inch version and will be getting the 18 inch and the 24 inch versions. These are all considerably lower-priced than their ridgid counterparts. Only time will tell if these can last as long as a ridgid. One other thing to note: I couldn't find any lifetime guarantee anywhere for this tool, but I know ridgid offers a no questions asked replacement if their pipe wrench ever breaks or malfunctions. So all in all; get these if you want good quality pipe wrenches without paying ridgid prices. And for the record I use these professionally as an HVAC tech. Ray

Heavy pipe wrench.
Dislike:One of the heaviest pipe wrench I've used. Not the same pipe wrench as advertised. Like: does what a pipe wrench supposed to do and if you needed to, you can used it as a hammer.

Great pipe wrench
Perfect for my job

Poor durability and quality
This should not sell for $30. For something that is used for pipes that generally have water, the metal rusts easily. Moreover, the clamp easily gets loose, making you readjust every time you're wrenching a pipe. Overall, not recommended.

Very very very nice
Very very very nice. Super sturdy. Feels like I'll have this tool all my life and the paint will still be in mint condition after then.
