Works, wares out quick
I've had three of these. My mother has limited use of her kept hand so this works one handed. It's not the best. They wear out quickly, but they're about it for one handed manual can openers.

Works great!!
The design makes it so that it’s usable with just one hand without needing the support of the other. sharp and gets the job done!

Easy to use.
Where is the magnet? Not there

Definitely easy to use!!
Nothing to dislike about this can opener. I have arthritic hands and this creates some difficulty for me. but works much better than regular can openers!

Best manual can opener I've ever used... but didn't last very long
I'm tired of crappy can openers. For a long while, I've been opening my cans with a knife -- not very safe but I got tired of replacing can openers. I bought this one although it seems a bit pricey to me because of the glowing reviews here. And I wasn't disappointed! It's very easy to use, does not require a lot of effort, and it sure works! Can is cut cleanly and the cut-part can be safely removed by the little magnet attached to the head of the can opener. The plastic part looks sturdy enough and the cutting blades/gears are sharp. I've owned it for just a month or so and I hope it would do the task for at least more than a year. I'm very happy with it and I recommend it highly. *** Edited Review, June 25, 2012: I've written the above review in September 2011, a month after owning Chef'n EzSqueeze One-Handed Can Opener. At that time I was hoping it would last for at least a year. Well, a week back, it gave up the ghost! I was just opening a regular can and after the initial punch, the gears for some reason just wouldn't turn anymore. It didn't have any problems before that. I felt sad that it didn't last as long as I expected. Still, it was the best can opener I've used while it was working properly. So, I'm just deducting 1 star from my original review. I'm thinking of purchasing another one. I wish though that this can opener is a little cheaper, like maybe just 10 bucks, as it seems it needs to be replaced yearly. *** Edited Review, March 1, 2013: So, I bought another one of this can opener on July 2, 2012. Same thing happened---by January 7, 2013, it's not working anymore and I'm not even opening a lot of cans!! So, I'm lowering my earlier 4-star rating to 3 stars. I loved it while it was working---clearly the easiest, safest can opener I've used (I have perfectly healthy hands). But it seems to break down so easily even with minimal use and much care (I wash and dry it right away after using since I love it and I don't want it to rust or anything). I can only use this now to "punch hole" in the can. And now I'm wondering if it is worth it to buy another one, or is there some other can opener with much better quality for the price point. But I sincerely hope they fix the quality of this one soonest.

I have use of only one hand
I have tried electric one handed openers and they tend to be slow and battery goes out quickly. Found this and tried it. I have use of only one hand and this works great. The pumping action is smooth. It did take a couple of times to figure out how to get it hooked on the can. Once you figure out out you will have no troubles. Love this opener.

Good for 4-5 years
I lost my right arm as a child nearly 60 years ago. Consequently I grew up doing everything one handed in a two-handed world. The vast majority of things I can do on my own with no adapters or special gizmos needed. That said, sometimes there are easier ways, and using this can opener is one of those. I'm about to order my third one. Each of the previous ones (including an earlier design) lasts about six years. Not too bad for an item costing less than $20. These are easy to use both left and right-handed, the weak spot is the drive gear, which wears out and starts skipping. Once that happens, just order a new one. If Chef'n would beef up the gear, these openers would last a decade or more (of course that would cut into sales). There really isn't an option if you need this due to being one-handed though. On a minor note, the magnet for lifting the lid is pretty weak.

Don;t know what I'd do without it.
I live in a 1940's home with few electrical outlets, no room for electrical can opener. I've had a stroke 20 yrs. ago with left side weakness, so manual openers don't work for me. By chance found this one years ago and loved it. I can be independent and use one hand to open what I need. The two handed people of my household love it too. It's been used a lot as we cook all of our own meals. It had a valiant life but finally died and needed to be replaced. I was thrilled to discover that I could replace it here. Looking forward to many more yrs. with EzSqueeze One-handed can opener.

Works great
It is so easy to use. My mom can only use one arm. She finds it easy to use.

Huge value for those with hand or grip strength issues
For those who find the traditional butterfly handle tin opener impossible this gets your whole hand and palm engaged and is geared so that the force required is far less. Absolutely indispensable - didn't perform very well on a rectangular corned beef tin but still opened it, but on round tins its an absolute dream. No more opening tins for the wife - she actually actively enjoys using it after years of struggling.

Best Can Opener.
Good product for seniors, however, this opener does not last. For the price it SHOULD.

A good design if it worked for more than 6 cans!
I've bought two of these in the last year, one from Amazon and one from another retailer and both failed after opening just six cans. The internal ratchet mechaninsm clearly isn't made of stainless steel as this is the part that stopped working, conseqently the contraption slips and fails to rotate after minimal use. I would have hoped that the first failuure was a one-off but alas no. It's a shame as the idea is great but the execution is poor. I sincerely hope this review becomes visible as all other UK based 1-4 star reviews do not show up.

Price and Quantity
My wife has arthritis and this unit is easier to use that the traditional type that you turn by twisting a handle on top of the tool.
