Well made but not sure it's a really good pocket watch case
I bought it on a whim, thinking I could use it to either carry my Zippo or some other small EDC. In hindsight I should have paid more attention to the case dimensions. At 42-45mm width and about 49mm depth this case is just a bit too small to hold my Zippo and it won't fit most mechanical pocket watches as they tend to be larger. Maybe it's a good fit for smaller quartz pocket watches but even then it will be a struggle to get them in and out. The stitching is well made and the it's really made of leather. However, the use of pressure clips for both the flap and belt loop snaps might be problematic if it's really used for carrying a watch. In my opinion, the belt loop snap is not strong enough to secure the case to a belt and it may cause the case to drop free. The flap snap has the inner side of its rivet covered with a small and thin piece of leather but I'm not sure if it's enough to protect a pocket watch glass. On second thought, as a lot of the pocket watches had acrylic plastic lenses, I'm not sure that leaving the interior of the case in raw leather is wise. My conclusion is that it can be useful for carrying some small change or light EDC as long as it's smaller than a Zippo and sturdy enough to be kept scratch free and not shatter if falling from your belt.

For small pocket watches or wrist watch.
Hi, I was reluctant to rate this watch case without using it some. I have a Jules Jurgensen pocket watch from 1990. I used to wear fancier duds at the office, now i don't. The watch looked lonely, never getting used, so how about a case for on the belt.? This watch is approximately 2 inches across and just shy of half inch thick. Its not a regular conductors size. Its a snuggg fit in this offering. The snaps are an upscale product that look nice and appear to be installed securely. The stitchery is well done. Here is where i am perplexed... Is it really leather.?! Looks nice. Good to have the watch getting used again. It was a few dollars more than i wanted to spend. I did not give it maximum stars, however i dont think i beat it up toooo badly. .

The case is very attractive though not very functional. I believe a few modifications would improve this product. The snap on the back of the case that goes over the belt will come undone when the watch is removed. Perhaps if the strap was sewn to the case this problem would be eliminated. Also, the metal inside the case that holds the front snap on, will eventually scratch or scar the crystal on an open face watch. A covering over this metal would be a protector of the crystal. Otherwise, this case is more suited to a watch with a Hunter's case.

High quality leather, well made, fits a 12s pocket watch but hunter case recommended.
This little holder is really well made. The leather is a lovely brownish red, feels very nice, and all details are executed well. This will fit a 12s size pocket watch snugly - when new. More on that in a bit. 12s is smallish, but not TOO small of a pocket watch. A good carry size - lighter, not annoyingly big, but easy to read. This is leather, and it will stretch a bit, so when new just understand that you'll have to slide a watch in there part of the way. This will allow the leather to form fit to the watch, making it easier to get in and out. Until the leather is stretched, it will be a little difficult to get the watch in and out. Start with the watch 1/2 in, leave for a day or two, then slowly push the watch in some more, and leave it again. Soon enough the leather perfectly lets the watch slide in and out but have just a little grip. The more you use leather, the more it contours to its purpose. As another reviewer noted, the back of the snap on the front (the male end) WILL scratch crystals on open face watches, as there isn't a little thin leather flap over the metal back part of the snap. I have a Waltham 12s with a gold filled hunter case (has a metal front flap) that is showing some brass, so scrapes and such aren't a huge deal. It's a carry watch and is treated as such. I wouldn't recommend using this for any pristine, museum quality collector pieces. The snap will scrape the crystal or the hunter case. I suppose you could try to file/sand smooth the edges on the snap...I haven't tried. This is an excellent little leather watch holder for an everyday wear, general use pocket watch.
