Chiude le valvole di sicurezza del gas. Pries apre finestre e porte.

Useful but not rust proof
Has all the tools I needed to compliment my through the lock modified pliers. However, getting them wet in my turnouts pocket and leaving them in my wet turnouts for 48 hours while on duty it began to develop rust. Not a huge deal, but it will need attention to maintain and to keep them up and running. Otherwise it’s a 2 thumbs up must have piece of equipment.

Handy Combination of Tools, but Heavy and Corrosion-Prone
I carried this in my fire service PPE for about two years. It is a really handy and unique combination of tools. Working in a rural district a cable cutter comes in handy for removing animal fencing, a common obstruction at fire scenes and roadside incidents. That motivated me to buy this. Out of the box I was very impressed with the build quality. I painted the handles orange so I had some hope of finding it when I inevitably dropped it and stuck it in my PPE. In use, the cutter works great on modern electric animal fencing, and though it will cut steel barbed wire, doing so is not advised– the tool is designed for soft metal and the edge will get damaged. It goes through vehicle battery cables and Romex like butter. The pry tool is not the most ergonomic, as you are handling the tool by the cutting end, but it is way robust and gets the job done. The spanner is a spanner, not much to say about that. It's small, so great on attack lines, useless on larger hose and appliances. It's steel so you do need to take care not to damage aluminum fittings. Ultimately, I found this tool was unsatisfactory for my application. It's heavy, easily as heavy as an aluminum spanner plus a pair of small cable cutters, so while it is a unique combination of tools, ultimately you're saving space but not weight. I kept it in my bunker pants cargo pockets in a tool organizer pouch, and the weight would cause it to pull the velcro open and spill out whenever I got down on my belly or stepped over something tall or leg-locked into a ladder– basically anything that tipped that pocket towards 90º. On the plus side, it breaks glass easily, as it really swings hard. The main issue I encountered was corrosion. Moisture from my gear caused this to begin rusting almost immediately. Within a few months, working this free and lubricating the pivot became a regular chore. I was disappointed that Channellock would use a corrosion-prone material in a tool designed for a high-moisture vocation. In short, if you want a cutting tool in your pocket that is awesome on copper and aluminum wire (but not very useful on steel), and also like a really sturdy pry tool and a robust gas wrench, this might be a great choice, but if you plan to keep it in your PPE buckle down for a fight with corrosion. If you are mainly in it for a versatile cutting tool and the spanner, you will probably be happier with a lighter spanner and a cutting plier that can handle harder metals and is less prone to corrosion. I know I am.

If you know, you know
This is is very specific tool and it does what it does very well. I just wish it either came with a lock or a carrying pouch.

Our son - a firefighter - loves it.
Our son - a firefighter - loves it. He's an EMT too and it has a few uses that way as well, but he asked for this as a gift when he was in his 1st year with the dept. It lives in a pocket of his fire suit and he says it's very useful. I've been a lifelong user of Channel Locks. My father loved the brand and I was always taught to buy American tools when I could and those with the best warranties. These check both boxes. While I have never broken a pair of my Channe locks, I have used inferior brands (knockoffs, really) and they slip, won't hold, and feel cheap. I have had to leave a project and stop using another tool and go get my Channel Locks to finish the job. One other use for me. When I am not allowed to carry my gun or even my knife of a decent size... no one ever questions a pair of Channel Locks in your pocket!

Great product. May need some clean up
Overall great product. Perfect size for tool slots in my Lion Bunker Pants pocket. Not too heavy for what you get. Kinda poor finsh work. Had alot of burs that needed removed and whatever packing grease they had put on it had hardened rock solid. All cleaned up pretty quickly with a brush wheel on the bench grinder and finished up with a light coating of 3 in 1 oil.

the grip would feel better with a bit more leverage
Bought it to throw in my bunker pants. It fits well for sure not too heavy. Typical well made quality tool from Channellock. Cuts the newer lighter gauge battery wires without struggling too much. Tough to cut thicker cable with it due to the shorter handles. Wish they would have made equal length handles..the grip would feel better with a bit more leverage. The jaws have to open wide to get a bite so it doesn't fit well in smaller spaces and the grip ends up feeling weird. I understand they made this to fit in bunker pants but definitely sacrificed some comfort and use. I also thought the prying end would have been great for pulling off door plastic but has a very blunt end. I ended up filing it a bit and it opens stuck windows well now too. Overall awesome concept and I will certainly have them for a long time. 4 stars only because I had to tweak it a bit.

Must have
I use this tool all the time on the fire ground, vehicle collisions, rescues, etc. Use it more than my axe and that’s the tool’s on every fire geek shirt, sticker and tattoo. Imma get a tattoo with this tool…psyche!!! Anyways, good tool and hasn’t broken yet.

Almost perfect
This is the ideal jaw style for disentanglement from wires. The linesman style head has a cutter but when you are blacked out, or trying to make a cut behind you, the plier surface of the jaws often only will crimp the wire. We’ve used both styles at our department while running crews through the fire ground survival course and the cable cutter style head is definitely the most efficient for getting out of wires quickly. They have 2 drawbacks that I’m sure every firefighter would like Channellock to address though. They need a hardened steel cutter head so they won’t become damaged when cutting harder wires. The linesman style head has these but for some reason they use a softer metal for the cable cutters. Also, they should be spring loaded so they can be operated easily with one hand to make multiple cuts. I’ve seen a number of guys modify them, but a factory solution would really be better.

Awesome stuff, used for Fire fightjng
Hold up unreal well! I’m volunteer Fire and I use at almost every call! Wether has shut off or cutting batteries or prying or using spanned wrench! Works unreal! Just little bit of oil everyonce in while and they work great! Constantly getting called over at calls for them! Fit nicely in bunker gear and not too heavy but extremely durable

A perfect fireman’s tool for your pocket
I’m a professional fireman in Canada and needed something on hand to turn the natural gas off at working fires. This is a versatile tool that’s good for a number of things. The cutters work well on battery cables for MVCs and the wrench helps unlock stubborn couplings

Great Gift for a Firefighter.
Don't know the first thing about firefighting, how useful this might be in the field, or how it will hold up under hard use, but after some research it seemed like a good gift for a close friend who graduated from the academy. The firefighter in question was thrilled. So money well spent.
