I love this product. So much more efficient and safer than a knife. I use them for everything outdoors. Very durable and dependable with nice carry case

They are small for a 6'2" man. Made for 'crafting' I think

They are good scissors; I work with them cutting wax paper and cardboard and such at work. However, they are only 8 inches long so my thumb fits, but I can only get two fingers in the other side which it looks like it was designed for. I'm about 190 pounds, and I thought they were 'heavy duty' shears expecting to be able to put more than 2 fingers in the closing mechanism to cut something thick/tough, but you can't, without using your off hand to squeeze down to increase the pressure. The take apart option is nice to clean and sharpen though. But they would be great for light duty type of stuff, wax paper or crafting I think.

Working well so far

These shears cut up a whole chicken easily. Very happy with them so far. We are going to order a 2nd pair.

Connection screw rusts very fast

I love Gerber products. I've owned many of them in my lifetime. I have a Gerber multi-tool from the 1990s that is unbelievable and rock solid! But these sheers seem to be manufactured overseas and are not up to Gerber's usual high quality. The handle is great. The cutting blades are great and the blades stay sharp (and don't rust). But the SCREW in the middle that holds the locking bar where you attach the two sides together is really poor metal. It started to rust, literally, after one washing (hand washing). I've oiled it, sanded the rust off, oiled it again...it just keeps rusting badly on that one screw. Time will tell if it holds together, but I doubt this will last years with so much rust eating away the screw.

Solid and sharp

I have been hunting for a long but only recently tried using shears for small game, it's a total game changer. These shears are typical of a Gerber product, well made and sharp for a decent price. They work great Taking apart small game.

Seems to work.

Not given them a big work out but go threw leather and material belts like butter.Great for stripping fish clipping wings off ectdont try to cut threw bones any shears will break use a knife.

Sharp and easy to clean

The shears are very sharp and able to cut through grouse wings with ease. They are nice and easy to clean as well which is a bonus.

These work great in the field. We do upland bird hunting and they are sharp and I use them often. I love that they come apart for cleaning.

These work awesome for cleaning small game like squirrel, rabbit and grouse. Notch in blade is an excellent feature. Easy to clean.
