It's almost a shame how concealed these are with how great the hinges look. Very smooth action with good quality. The price isn't low, but you get what you pay for with these. Install is trickier than a standard hinge, but if you have a router and buy the template, its not bad. Creating your own template would be fairly easy with the right size forstner bits or a drill press. They give you a paper template to go off of. The fit was a little bit snug when using the template, but I suspect that's because the brass plating on these adds a little thickness. I had to stretch the length of the template by almost 1/8". Much easier to do at the beginning than after the fact so I would do a test fit on scrap wood with your template before you put holes in the frame.

Good hinge.

Good hinge and does what is says, BUT BE WARE! This is not for the beginner. If you buy the guide, BE CAREFUL, it asks for a bit that is not obtainable! It should come with the set, but it doesn't.

Solid product

Excellent hinge

The Soss hinge is surprisingly easy to install. Not simple, but, especially with the proper hinge template (found on Amazon), a fast nda accurate process. The documentation and instructions on the Soss Website and their video on You Tube ( [...] ) are essential before purchase and installation.
