Hard on your bottom!!!

We had to purchase this product twice. The first time they sent us two brackets for the same side of the toilet seat. The second order we had the correct brackets and installed the toilet seat. The toilet seat is very hard and uncomfortable! The toilet seat is not beveled correctly so it puts more pain and pressure on your legs. Knowing this I would not have purchase this toilet seat. I do not recommend this product. However, I did give it three and four stars for sturdiness, clean ability, and easily mounting the toilet seat. However, as I mentioned, it is not comfortable, and it has a hard ridge. Thank goodness my husband is a handyman, because he can router the ridge of the toilet seat and round off the hard edge. It is a solid wood piece, that the toilet seat is made up of. If you are not handy, I really do not recommend buying this toilet seat.

High Qualit and High Weight Capacity

This toilet seat is the "bees knees", the best seat I have ever had. Once I used for a week or so I swapped out the other three toilets in my house with the same seat! High quality and easy installation, 350#+ weight capacity, also available in a closed front. Be careful when buying one of these seats as the come in the self-sustaining hinge that I purchased and also a regular hinge. The regular hinge is not a soft close so the lid will slam it you let go, not recommended as these seats are heavier than normal "run of the mill seats". The self-sustaining hinge is stainless steel and will remain in place at what ever angle you leave it ( I tried it and left the lid mostly down but 2" from fully closed and then went away for a couple of days and it was still in the same position when I returned. A little gentle push closed it easily. Don't be worried about the operation, this style hinge is no harder to lift or close than the lids that slam. These seats also come in a soft close hinge version, which work great, but have a significantly lower weight capacity; I think about 250#.

This is a nice toilet seat, well made and the mounting system does hold tight. Expected two mounting systems and only received one, luckily the single traditional metal bolt with locking fastener worked perfectly. Use a 7/8 deep socket, I had no room for the 7/8 wrench that the instructions said to use.

Not the typical type toilet seat

The thing that I didn’t like was the mounting system. It was all metal and did not give you an extended portion from the seat itself. It’s literally right off the seat it self /so the cover doesn’t rest upon the back of the toilet bowl it just stands there. I have an elongated seat so maybe a round would fit better? Not sure. The metal mounting system also meant no “quick disconnect” for cleaning & you need a socket set if you’re going to make it tight enough it won’t move around later. I also received one with a busted hinge - so it kept sliding out from the seat itself. Returned for a better unit.

I gave this a 4 star only because I thought it was a soft touch. It looks really nice and easy to clean however I really wanted a seat that would not come down quickly????????
