Agree with some of the others, if you haven’t installed a deadbolt before, it’s a bit tricky, even more so on an RV that is all metal. Biggest issue I had was that once I finally got it installed, the inside latch interfered with the screen door and the main door would not close at all. I had to get creative. Even so, there’s still no way to latch it from inside. The screen door blocks access to it. So, for me, it’s only useful as a security lock when I’m not in the RV. Also, screws are cheapo. Busted when screwing into metal (even tho I pre-drilled holes). Also, 2 of the screws were so small that there was no apparent use for them. Recommend buying better SS screws. Anyway, locks nice and secure from the outside, but probably would not have installed if I knew about the issues the screen door presents (Note: I’m a first time RV owner).

Good Product, Bad instructions.
I installed this lock on my RV. The product was about what I expected for the price. It seems to work very well. However, the instructions that come with it leave a lot to the imagination. If you have installed door locks before, you will probably be OK. If you are trying this for the first time, be very careful before drilling any holes. The template does not work for all RV doors.

More Security for the RV.
Found these looking for a more secure way to lock up my 5th wheeler. Installation was not difficult since I used a jig. Very secure now.

Perfect fit
Our old bolt lock had become "stripped" out. The key would just turn and turn. I purchased this and just used the bolt assembly to replace the old one. This way I was able to use our old keys as well. Worked like a charm.
