Listen to the instructions!!
My cat absolutely LOVED this toy. It makes him absolutely feral, to the point where he's jumping and swatting until panting. Hands-down, this toy beats out any overpriced $30 dollar toy from the pets store. My only warning is to listen to those instructions! My cat got about a solid 72 hours out of this toy before he completely ripped the holder off of the wall. If you have a very playful or strong cat like my boy, place the toy at the recommended height. I placed mine lower than 4 feet and bent the wire a bit as I thought the listed height was way too tall... I was wrong. You'd be surprised just how high up these guys can jump. I placed it at about two feet, and my cat was able to grab the wire and tear. I think if I'd put it at the suggested 4 feet or so, the toy would've lasted much longer. Definitely user-error! Other than me underestimating my precious goblin child, it's a fantastic product.

Catnip Equivalent of a Toy
11.17.22~ When I first tried this crazy toy it was under $1 as 'Add-On'. Over the years it has slowly increased to $2 then $3 and Still best cat toy. For a bouncy coat hanger with cardboard rolls twisted onto the end, it grabs the attention of the most discerning feline with its bird-like movements. So to pay 5 bucks for a hanger that allows the cat to interact without me is priceless. Of course she still prefers interaction but when I'm done for the day, she chases solo. This has the option to stick to the wall or hold in your hand. The paw-shaped, white case clicks shut with the dancer up or down. Cat Dancer has been a gift to every new & existing cat lover friend. Even if the feline at 1st seems uninterested, eventually 'Cat Dancer' lures them in. Cat Dancer must be made by cat lovers bc only cat lovers would get~ Cats don't want expensive toys. They want free stuff like paper bags and your toes. This is the best of both. (and if you furry one has no interest, it's a cheap try & a shelter will always take it) Enjoy

A winner in every sense of the word !
When I saw this super basic product placing in such high ranks as Amazon’s top / most popular cat toys I had to know why everyone expressed their love for this wiggly wire and a piece of sticky plastic. As soon as this $4 cat toy arrived at my house, I knew it would be a hit. My cat loves it, even if it’s in the trash bin and we are awaiting a new cat dancer / dancing cat/ whatever they call this simple yet absolutely genius cat toy. I can’t really explain it further, and my cat and I really do the lazy Sundays so we cannot be seen as ragamuffins on film for all of Amazon to see …. You must experience the gift of the dancing cat yourself, friend. If he arrives at your domicile and you are disappointed, well I’ll just say I’m really disappointed in you

His favorite toy...but he takes the mount off the wall
The media could not be loaded. Who would have thought a piece if wire with some cardboard rolls could provide so much entertainment. We had the original and he drug it all over the house with him. He's a bit of an aggressive attacker, so holding it could be dangerous, so we tried thus version. Conceptually, it's amazing, but he's learned to shove his nose under it and dislodge it from the wall. In the middle of the night we hear scraping sounds as he runs around the tile floor with the cardboard in his mouth and the plastic paw/holder dragging behind him. When focused, he can dislodge it in about 5-10 seconds. I wish there was a clip towards the top to keep it from coming out so easily. So..4 stars because he loves it (with or without the mount). One star deducted for the nightmares caused by being woken up by creepy scraping sounds.

Duct taped it shut, cat kept pulling it open. He loves it though.

My 2 year old boy loves this!
My cat loves this mounted in the clip and to just play with the wire loose. I did mount it vertically and it doesn't stay clipped in as well if I had mounted it horizontal. My friend picked me up a second one so I can make this correction. My boy loves swatting at the cardboard and these really hold up well. It's not painful to walk through if you have mount it in a not so convenient place. I won't buy any other brand.

Cats Love This Toy!
My cats of all ages (kitten to senior) love this toy! I would give it 5 stars across except the plastic wall mount is not very sturdy. My cats pull on the toy end and pull open the holder. I reinforced the holder to stay closed and they ripped the whole thing from the wall! Good thing for command strips, lol! No damage, but I have abandoned the plastic holder. Would suggest purchasing just the toy at a significant discount without the plastic holder and designing your own way to set up for play. We have 1 hanging out of a tote of crafts in the basement and 1 hanging out a sturdy wooden drawer.

Simple entertainment
How is something so simple one of the favorite cat toys? My cat loves the cat dancer toy. The wall attachment is great so he can entertain himself. Attaches with command strips. You can easily open it to take the toy out or to replace.

Cannot return.
No interest whatsoever from either of 2 outdoor cats; one is super active. Not even if putting feathers on the end. Otherwise, feathers on the stick is great joy to play with them. Not refundable, waste of monies.

Absolutely rubbish save your money!
Poor quality. Wire all rusty within a few weeks and the bits on the end of the wire don't entice either of our cars to play with it. Absolute rubbish.

Gives you a much needed break
The media could not be loaded. This thing is the equivalent of having a cat sitter. I initially bought the cat dancer on it's own (without the mount), and while I love using it freehand to bond with my cats, it can get tiring (and frankly a little dangerous, god FORBID it lands on my bare skin, it's claw city for my legs), it's nice to have the wall mount do my job for me. This is especially great when I just need a break from my cats literally following me EVERYWHERE and needing attention. Thank you to the genius who created this, a MILLION thank-yous. Suggestion for mounting: mount it a little higher to get optimal jumping action, and some great exercise for your kitties!

Favourite Kittie Toy!!
This is a toy favourite..and for the price, I think it's a winner. Our 1year old throws herself at it, and gets very excited!! Even the older cat 15yrs plays a little with it. It's fun to play with. 4stars purely because you have to be careful with your play, which I am because of the metal wire potential risk I guess..but with care I've had no concerns yet. Will ensure we always have one ????????
