Loose number pad
Locks well. The 3 code keypad seems a bit loose - opens easily. I haven’t used the cable that came with it.

This lockable safe is durable and has enough capacity for my needs. Great value for the money. This will be one to recommend to friends and family.

Works as expected
I use this smaller medication cabinet (I call it chest and will call it a chest in this review) to store our family's prescription medications. I am able to fit ~13 prescription bottles of various sizes in this chest. However, please note that it will only fit the height of standard prescription medication bottles or slightly taller; it will not fit large bottles of liquid medication such as children's tylenol. I use theHelix Drugs Security Chest (32480) to store my toddlers' medications as well as items that they get into such as band aids, etc. I store both of the chests side by side in a standard cabinet with an additional baby lock on it. I like that the locks for the different chests look different so I can tell them apart. I like that these chests work well and are economical. I also accidentally dropped this chest and while it broke the bone china plate on the counter below it, the chest didn't break or even bend. The paint chipped a little, but that was it. The reason that I deducted a star is that this is a very basic chest; it's not expensive and you get what you pay for. The most annoying issue is that the top doesn't stay up after I open it and constantly falls down as I'm trying to get medications out. I have to prop it up, which works, but it's an extra step that with 2 toddlers I wish I didn't have to do. And I am not sure how long the locks will actually last, how long the top will continue to smoothly open and close, etc. If you want something better made, higher quality, slightly taller, etc., I'd recommend something else. But for our budget, this meets our needs and we are currently happy with it. For anyone with the same budget/needs as us, I'd recommend both chests.

Pay ATTENTION it's inexpensive for a REASON !!!
This is exceptionally flimsy. You could break-in to it with a slotted screwdriver, and a 4year old's strength could do it easily. Spend 5-9 bucks more and get one that is REALLY Heavy Duty !!! It does lock well BUT the steel is like 20ga steel it might be .04-.06mm thick....maybe ?!! The tie down cable is MUCH more durable that the box. If you were to give the box a good yank the knurled end would "pop" right out of the box !!! NO JOKE !!

I recommend this product
Very sturdy. Not too heavy since I put it my carry on when I travel. But this gives me piece of mind when I travel as it stores my passport and some credit cards/cash when I travel.

Peace of mind and worth the price
Had ordered another brand (AdirMed) which came damaged and was subsequently unavailable. Got this instead and was somewhat disappointed since it was smaller and appeared to have limited capacity. Turns out it holds quite a bit. We have 3 large containers (150 and 200 caplets) of OTC meds in it and still have enough room for numerous prescription meds. This was purchased because we have an 8 yr old grandson and didn't want the possibility that he gets curious and downs a few pills. Great peace of mind having this. It is sturdy and easy to securely mount either on a shelf or the wall.

Very useful
Good size for household meds. Too short for a jumbo bottle like bulk sized OTC meds or vitamin bottles but fits regular bottles and boxes fine. Would fit most Rx fine with many fitting in there. I take 10 different meds each day with varying bottle sizes plus some boxes and syringes and they would all fit. I would have preferred to use/mount it so the lid opens at the top but the lid won’t stay open that way unless you hold it. The first aid cross emblem is an optional sticker so if you want it all white you can. Lock and hinge are smooth functioning. Would make a good lock box for other items as well as it can mount on a shelf or on the wall. My family is going to use it for various OTC meds that more than one person uses so we can always find them again.

Light-weight, sturdy lock box
Light weight, sturdy, lock box - I tethered it to the inside frame of my suitcase, and had peace of mind knowing that it was discreetly tucked in my luggage, while keeping my passport, cash, and medication secure in my hotel room. No trouble taking it through security or customs at all. Good value for the money; it paid for itself on the first trip I used it.

Came as described but just okay
I chose this specific safe as it was smaller than similar ones, it came true to size,brand new in its own box. But out of its own original packaging, it had light scuffing on all 4 rounded corners and 3 small light dents on the top about the size of a pen tip. Not hugely visible but im pretty picky. There were also so very minor, almost indistinct scratches on the top, in the paint. The metal is a little thinner than I expected making the item nice and light but also giving me the impression I could get into it if I really wanted to. It is perfect for what I need it for though and the locking mechanism works smoothly.

It's okay
It's not bad. If you are thinking this is going to protect your valuables from a robber, I think you will be disappointed. It's easy to pick up and walk away. I haven't tried but I think the cord would be easy to pull out. However, if you're just trying to keep meds out of your kid's hands, this is perfect. The first safe I received was broken. It looked like it had been smushed. I got another one because it looked like it would serve my purposes.
