Low quality band

Nice watch, very much liked by everytone

I had that watch for 8 years and then the battery run out and just before that a button broke, so that what do I do now and so I looked on Amazon and found that same watch gain within 5 minutes and I thought why mot get a new one. Friends and colleagues said all the same thing, "what a nice watch". I resides a lot and the glass does not scratch and its deeper down, so that you can stripe against anything, which is what I did with pious watches. its a little pricy, but its worthwhile.

What I Hoped It Would Be

Very pleased so far. I’ve had 2 other G-Shocks, but wanted a newer model. Other than having to learn some new “programming” logic on this model, it looks great and the display is perfect for my needs.

My new favorite watch

I noticed the reviews were mixed on this watch when I was considering buying it. I was a bit nervous at first but bit the dust and made the purchase anyway. I have to say I am very pleased with this watch. The band is a bit thinner than my previous G shock watches. It doesn't seem quite as rugged as others I have had over the years, but the fit is really nice. It is softer and stays put better on my wrist. I don't even notice it on my arm. It is the same size as my previous G Shock watches which I like a lot. It commands attention and is a serious looking watch. I don't mind it being so shiny as it looks a bit more dressy than the typical G Shock watch which looks more like a sports watch or even a work watch. It is much easier to read the face to me with bigger numbers and the background color. I like that a lot as my eyes aren't what they used to be. The night light works great as do the other features. The book is a bit hard to read as the print is so tiny, but the setup was easy especially if you have had G Shock watches in the past. The menus are exactly the same and easy to figure out. Initial setup took only seconds to complete and the watch run perfectly. I am very happy with this watch. It looks nice, plenty rugged, good price, nice presentation case and the vendor got it to me in no time at all. I would give it 5 start if it were a bit more thicker in the band. The plastic seems to be just a bit thin and softer than I am used to. I really hope it is just as strong as I tend to be hard on my watches. My previous G Shock watches were built like tanks and I have always loved that. Time will tell how this performs over the years. But if you are considering a nice new G Shock watch I would say this watch is a very good buy. I think you will be very happy with your purchase. Tom

Well Worth The Money

I wear my watch on the inside of my wrist. I have a problem with virtually every watch but this one because the buttons are recessed. My hand bending inward toward my wrist doesn't push any buttons. I'm not enthusiastic with the plastic wristband. Other than that, very satisfied so far.

Tough, functional and attractive

I've had several of these watches over the years and all have lasted extremely well despite their harsh treatment in many different countries and environments. My current version is 11 years old and is starting to show its age, hence my purchase. It is however, still perfectly functional, although maybe not so attractive anymore - a bit like its owner perhaps !! Buy one, it won't disappoint.

Feels cheap compared to other G-shock watches:

Cased and made in china, glossy and plastic-feeling, and aluminum throughout. It feels over-light, and the glass is easier to scratch than my other G-shock watches. Disappointed, although it certainly had potential with its unique design.

Purchased as a gift, this is a very cool watch. Programming it was a little bit of a challenge, but I found the online manual on the Casio site quite helpful for that. It's big. Very big, actually, but the band is pretty soft and easy to wear. Overall, very pleased. Thanks.
