Great fit and super light

Very good product!

I have not fallen to talk about the protection itself, but it’s double certified which is good. It feels comfortable, it has two different internal padding options to make it for a bit better. It’s a bit bulky, like most helmets. I tried a bunch looking for a smaller slicker one, but they are all very close in size. You will still look like a NASA rocket or a Super Mario mushroom.???? Other than that, I like the finish in this matte black color I chose. No additional stickers or accessories come in the box other than the helmet and the padding. It’s a good price IMO. This is the L/XL size version and my head measured 23.25 inches. It was a very exact fit. So make sure to take your measurements with measuring tape and be accurate. Leave some extra wiggle room if you don’t like a tight fit. They are not adjustable like other helmets. It does not feel light, but not very heavy either. Hope this helps.

Please wear this & protect your head!

My partner bought it while learning to skateboard, he didn't always wear it but he had it. Then, one day, he decided to wear it while skating downhill with his newer faster wheels - the board slipped out from under him & he fell face first on asphalt. Broken tooth, busted lip, cut eyebrow, scrapes, bruises, BUT zero concussion per ER & doctors so forth. This helmet saved his brain & we're so grateful for that. Please consider buying & wearing this helmet for such activities.

Not comfortable, returned

I ended up returning this helmet. I bought it along with the Triple 8 dual certified sweat saver, so that I could compare both. The certified sweat saver is soooo much more comfortable and better fitting than this one. I measured my head and ordered the proper sizes based off the measurements. The certified sweat saver sits low on my head, is lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable for being a helmet. The pads inside that one are nice and soft. This one with the MIPS technology, it sits way high up on my head, and feels uncomfortable on my head, and the pads are barely even pads, more like pieces of fabric. I was willing to give the MIPS technology a try, but the certified sweat saver is a better fit for me, and still has safe technology being that it's dual certified. Maybe in the future, the MIPS one will not only be as safe but as comfortable as the current dual certified helmets. As far as the quality, it looks to be a good quality triple 8 product. Smooth matte finish, beautiful color, sturdy well made straps. It's just very uncomfortable, which wouldn't have encouraged me to wear it.

It's not a DOT helmet, but it works ok for what it is.

It isn't a DOT helmet. It's ok and better then nothing at all. If you need the security and protection of a DOT rated helmet, it is best you find a good motorcycle helmet to use.

Cheaper than hospital bills! Live to skate another day!

I’ve skated for a long time but only recently picked up an electric skateboard and seen my fair share of crashed comrades on group rides. The MIPS tech on this thing gives me the peace of mind I need, and given Tripple 8’s history in the industry I’d trust my head with their helmets. I like skating too much to risk an injury that would prevent me from doing it! If your passionate about your sport then at least be safe enough to make a full lifetime of enjoyment out of it!

OUR OFFICIAL MIPS UPGRADE GEAR

We bought several sizes of this helmet as our official MIPS upgrade gear for various activities. We use it for biking and electric scooter riding mostly. It has the latest safety technologies and certifications so we chose this. In Florida it gets hot here and this remains cool and comfortable so far. I wish it came in ladies colors though because we are all women wearing them in blue. We just wear blue jeans and blues in our blouses to match it on the mobility days we use them. LOL We would have liked white or pink. Anyway, this item earns 5 stars from us!

Good but sizing is way off

It seems good quality but the sizing is sort of weird. I have ordered the correct size yet I was unable to put on my head as it was super tight and very uncomfortable. Feels like it is designed for very narrow head

A bit thick and small, but it is like a tank

The foam is really thick inside and hard, looking a bit weird on the head vs thinner versiins, but you feel protected by a tank! The size is smaller a bit than the measurements, so if you are at the max of a size, I suggest you take the size over. I am curious to see if the size over will feel better for me as it is very fit and tight; I was expecting a little more space. All what is promise in the description is there, like the parts to add cushion that make it a little smaller (if you are at the smallest of the size). I recommand it as I feel in security with it.
