Pegasus by Home Depot: Need the pressure balance spool, too!

This product saved me thousands of dollars for a new faucet recommended by the plumber. I had to remove the third (outer-most) section of splined stem in order to have it fit correctly. Behind the cartridge are two seats with springs that are easy to replace at the same time (Danco 88050). Also, your water flow problem may be due to a faulty pressure balance spool (Danse...not Danco...DA507041). See photos. Thanks to everyone for providing info.

No more leak

This replacement cartridge fit our Pegasus shower. We had to cut the brass stem because it was too long, but other than that this cartridge stopped our leaking problem.

If this doesn't fit your Pegasus faucet, read this....

If this doesn't fit your Home Depot Pegasus shower faucet, you need the Danze DA603567, which isn't listed for Pegasus, but after hours of research it did the trick for me. This item fit too tightly, the Danze fits perfectly. There's nothing wrong with this item, just that if it doesn't fit, you need the Danze item.

This does not come with Plastic geared discs

Where are the geared discs that come with the original that allow turn stops on temperature , they are important/critical part of this cartridge. ???
