They make the file more important than the folder.

Seventy-five years in school (and they put me on the day shift) has given me strong, probably eccentric, preferences about filing. I color code everything. (A malicious student once nearly ruined my semester by stealing all my big red paperclips.) I use ring binders for current work, file folders inside hanging folders for papers I need frequently, and four years' of records filed and hung in plastic file crates with plywood tops I upholstered to match my office. Necessarily, I reuse paper folders, put new labels over old, turn folders backwards and eventually inside out, etc. When I have only five colors I have to get distractingly creative about my color codes. Paper folders wear out quickly, curl at the corners, crease in unattractive places, and inevitably two colors wear out before the others, leaving, depending on your narrative, either a surplus of three or a deficiency of two. IN CONTRAST, these plastic folders, which I searched for after discovering a few odd ones at a dollar store, are strong, lightweight, translucent, slippery where paper frays, and can be bathed if I leave a ring of coffee or salted caramel ice cream on them--but I probably wouldn't, because the colors are so citrus-y and juicy that they almost satisfy the need for real food. I like them so much I'd buy more if they weren't pricey, but I suppose if you're arriving instead of leaving, you could think of them as an investment, because you won't have to replace them every fall.

Durable charts

I like the fun colors and how durable they are. I would get frustrated with the paper files. I won’t go back to paper

Plastic not cardboard with a long section to place a sticker from a P-Touch machine

Plastic and different colors. I need for holding all the parts I buy for vehicles but I also see the value of keeping a file like this on a door for other major items like a furnace., water heater, washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrig, range as well as where you last bought a part for the item. I would rather use this system of hanging this on the back of a door (includes three hangars) than stuffing papers in a file cabinet. This is much easier to just go to the file color and put the latest paper (part, repair, guarantee, date purchased and where. Easy to "Cull" obsolete papers from a "replaced " appliance.

Love these!

Loved the first ones I received I ordered a second set the same week. I don’t have to worry about them breaking down from use. To relabel the tabs I use a magic eraser or alcohol wipes and the marker comes right off. Definitely recommend to anyone that works in a office or needs to use folders like these constantly.

Does not come with file folder holder

While the folders themselves are great, they do not come with the holder that is pictured in the one picture. If I had known that I would have bought something else.
