Not that great.........but useable
I got interested in watch repair recently and figured I'd better buy a decent magnifier.......so after reading the reviews (only the bad ones, never the fake good ones) I picked this one. Having never had another head worn magnifier I think I'm pretty unbiased. First the good...........it wasn't too expensive, is fairly lightweight and the band is easily adjustable. I like the choice of four lenses, and they snap in and out easily. Now the bad. The light needs replaceable throw-away batteries and can't be charged from a USB connection? Really? In 2023? C'mon Carson, spring for the extra 35 cents and add a USB charging capability. So for me the light is useless. Then there's the comfort of wearing it. There really isn't any. The hard plastic strap and poor excuse for forehead padding make it painful to wear for any length of time. Now I'm older and bald, so maybe if you have lots of flowing waves of hair it will be more comfortable.......but not for me. I had to put the soft side of a velcro strip over the joke of a forehead pad to be able to wear it for more than 2 minutes. Again, c'mon Carson.....another 3 cents worth of fabric strip would make it a whole lot more comfortable to wear. I'll keep it until it breaks.......or until I find something with a rechargeable light and some padding on the band.....but I was really expecting it to be a little more smartly built. Oh yeah, since you have to interchange the lenses to get different magnifications be prepared to wipe your fingerprints off the lenses pretty regularly, since there's no place to grab a lens that isn't where you look thru. A minor PITA, but again, a little more forethought by the designers could have fixed this issue too. But that's why they give you the little microfiber cloth I guess. So it works, but is a bit half-baked in my opinion. Hopefully they'll read this and make the next iteration of this thing a lot better. Like I said earlier, I've not used any other magnifier to compare this too, so I can't say if other brands are better or worse.......but you can look for features in those products that would solve the problems I've described. The rechargeable battery for the light is a no-brainer, as is a bit of REAL padding on the forehead pad. But I'm guessing you could do a lot worse with other products. But that's just a guess......I've been wrong before! ;O)

built well; works great for close up work
My wife likes to cross-stitch. It is a hobby that requires a lot of close up work, and the lighting in our living room where she likes to sew is not ideal for this. So, I ordered this magnifier head lamp visor for her. The visor is nicely boxed. Included with the visor are the removable head lamp, a plastic cover for when the lamp is not used, a plastic box containing four hinged lenses, and an instruction sheet. For the most part, the visor is intuitive to use. The head lamp easily pulls up out of the visor, which you have to do to install the needed three AAA batteries (not included). Alkaline batteries are recommended, and they are estimated to provide about 50 hours of light before needed replacement. When it is positioned on the visor, the light from the headlamp can be adjusted directionally so it illuminates exactly where you want the light. The lamp has three LEDs in it, and they provide plenty of light. The head band is easy to adjust for proper fit. It is designed so the entire visor can be lifted upward without removing the head band. Installing and removing the lenses is a bit challenging. I had to use a lot of force to get the lens to pop into its proper place, and it took a lot of force to get it back out, so much that I feared I would break it. After removing the first lens, popping in the second one was significantly easier, so it’s possible that this improves with usage. The lenses each have two small hinges that can easily break if the lenses are not removed correctly. There are warnings in the instruction sheet and also on the box of lenses to pull them out of the visor at an angle, one edge at a time, or the hinges can break. Once it is properly installed, the lens can be lifted upward when needed without removing the visor. After getting everything set up, my wife quickly started using the visor for her cross-stitch project. She absolutely loves it. She says the lighting is perfect, as is the magnification. She says the visor is comfortable to wear. Overall, this is an excellent lighted magnifying visor. It is versatile and easy to use. It is a little pricey when compared with other brands, but I think the build quality is excellent and worth its price. This would be ideal for anyone who does close up work either professionally or for a hobby. It would also be handy for those who need magnification for reading.

Budget priced. For just light use,
I've had this magnifier for about a month. The lock knob for thr right hand knob will not stay tight, so you have to re snug the visor every time you move it uo or down. The lenses are easy to change; you have to be very careful not to loose the tiny lens retainer pins, so don't change lenses over the carpet. I learned this the hard way, The lenses are optical glass, not cheap plastic, so with a little care, they should stay scratch free for a long time.

Top of the line and amazing customer service
I'm not alone in this, but, when one starts gaining years one can lose the little things like perfect vision. I make plastic models as a hobby and as parts have gotten smaller I'm not too proud to say that I need to see something bigger. I've tried numerous devices from magnifiers to cell phone cameras from top to bottom. This product is the best I've found. Not the cheapest, but, you can tell the quality right out of the box and I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking out a product such as this. As a side note, during shipping one of the magnifiers had broken off at the clip. I sent an email and literally within 12 hours the company contacted me and a replacement is on its way. I value good products for a good price a good customer service is priceless. Thanks to the company and all reading this

Not bad but could use some improvements - beware of short focal distance
Bought this for doing soldering work where occasionally some extra magnification can help and throwing a little more light on the subject is a big help. 1. It's reasonably well constructed and feels solid. However… 2. The headband at the forehead is a cheap vinyl material that's completely non-breathable and gets sweaty/greasy from skin contact. Some sort of terry cloth here would have been a huge addition 3. The headband in adjustable through a wide range but the adjustment is done through a simple ratcheting clip. While serviceable and secure, it tends to get caught in/yank your hair out so I recommend sizing when not wearing it. 4. The lenses clip in securely but are a bit difficult to release. Not sure how long those clips will last. Some notes on operation: 1. The light takes 3 AAA batteries (not included) 2. The light isn't very bright but fine for close up work. The colour temperature is very cold (maybe 8000K) and blue which may cause some colour rendition issues if that's important. 3. It's easy to move/tilt the light up/down and left and right. Additionally the light is completely removable if you want to position it separately. 4. The lenses wok well *but* have a very close (8-10") focal distance and extremely shallow depth of field. It's also hard to maintain stereoscopic vision but I do find the eyes adjust. back to focal distance: you need to be really close to things to focus and this might cause a problem if access is limited. Further - because the headband protrudes a good 6" from your forehead you might not be able to see the thing you're working on because you can't get close enough. 5. The lenses are just acrylic and will probably scratch very easily (not unexpected at this price). There is a case to hold them but the case lid doesn't clip securely to it so you'll need an elastic or something to keep it closed. Overall, they're not too bad for the price but not suitable for all applications due to limited focal distance.

Great product
I use these everyday for work. I love the light!! Very useful. I do not love the fact that the glasses slide down with i pull them up to my forehead but its not a deal breaker. Maybe i just don’t tighten hard enough.

Great magnifier headset...
I used a cheaper set for a few years. Horrible! This set is fantastic. Lenses are very clean and clear. Adjustability is quick and easy for the headband and angle of the lenses. Also at first I couldnt get the lenses out. But once you get use to taking them out its actually quite easy. Headlight is nice and bright and adjusts to hit perfectly while your working. Very happy with these so far.
