Overall a good product

Great tool bag but when you go to use the inside pockets, the inside walls cave in easily as they have absolutely no support and the material is really thin.

High Quality

Got this tool bag as a gift for my boyfriend. It is extremely high quality and has room for lots of tools! Great to carry in the back seat of his truck! Has so many compartments and he absolutely loved it! Uses it everyday!

Matches my Carhardt everything

Purchased the 18” model with molded base. It feels like it will last as long as my Carhardt jacket has and that’s saying something.

Definitely Heavy Duty!

My Husband works at a Mine. He has to pack pretty much anything He thinks He might need such as tools, his lunch, water, rain gear ETC! He also moves from equipment to equipment. This bag has held up and kept the weather out. The Zippers are tough and much stronger then most you see on other bags. All the storage pockets are perfect for everything! I Know the price is a little shocking but I promise, you get what you pay for here no skipping on quality that for sure! My husband says he will only buy these carharrt bags from now on! They are AWESOME!

Happy with decision on Carhartt Legacy 18 (4/5) because it's only been a week

I was in the market for a bag that would carry all my most commonly used tools. The 5 gal bucket organizer I used was no longer holding up. And, there were too many times when I found myself without a tool, or batteries that ran out of juice on the site. After researching numerous bags (several brands/models, carry & wheeled), the Legacy 18 won out for the following reasons; Carhartt reputation, functional design, molded base, number of pockets, interior dimensions, and a lighter color fabric makes it easier to find what's inside. As others have noted this bag holds a lot, so weight management might come into play. Inside is holding a drill, impact driver, charging station, 2 hammers, 2 saws, T-handle wrench, 3 small cases (sockets, driver bits, drill bits), a wire brush, 2 pairs of gloves and knee pads. There's still room available, but at 42 lbs currently, I will be removing some items. I agree with other reviews, that a clip for holding a tape measure & deeper exterior pockets would be an improvement. When I first received the bag I wasn't sure it would stay open, but once loaded that concern went away. Friends have also commented on the appealing aesthetics.

Very hard to access tools inside the bag.

Electrician. Pros:lots of pockets, the pockets are well ranged in sizes. The depth of the pockets are good. The bottom is nice, washable, water and mud resistant. It carry very well even with a very heavy load in it. 30 to 40 lbs. Inside compartment is great for adding cordless drills and chargers. The biggest deterrent, the deal breaker for ever recommending this bag to anyone is that the top collapse in on its self making it very difficult to retrieve any tools in the inside of the bag. I dont even like the thoughts of having to go to this bag for anything in it. I am disappointed it my purchase of this tool bag. You should consider my review on this bag before you buy. Bags I have had before, Veto Pro bags, Husky, Hard case tool boxes. Rolling toll boxes. I would not recommend this bag. Elecrician 9yrs.

Perfect for what I do

As an electrician for movie sets I’m constantly working in different environments out on location or in the studio, with all sorts of materials and gadgets which include & expand beyond standard AC residential / commercial electrical work, it’s often fast pace because on set time is money and I have to say this bag really fits the bill for the perfect all in one tool bag. Love the quality, and the design is perfect for quickly grabbing tools on the fly while storing larger & more weather-fragile tools inside such as various meters etc. Only thing is my most important tools tend to be the flashier tools so if I’m leaving my bag in the studio I keep a large black cloth so I can cover it up. I almost already wish the 18” was even larger, but it forces me to keep only what I need & stay organized. I believe I’ll be carrying this bag a long time! The moulded base is essential & such a worthwhile upgrade.

Good product

The bag will be used domestically to carry tools around for household repairs etc. It's quite large and it holds almost all of my tools. It has numerous pockets inside and outside to adequately store and organize the most heavily used items. I can get several small power tools inside the bag. Well made and it looks good. The best thing is everything is organized in one place now and I no longer have to make several trips into my basement to retrieve stuff. Recommend.
