Beautiful Candle

This candle stand is quite large. The candle & stand are beautiful and big. I read some comments that some people don’t think the candle is actually beeswax. I think it is indeed beeswax & it smells heavenly. It burns clean and does not smoke. it is very beautiful. The only downside for me is that the clamp does take some strength to squeeze it and the candle seems to burn a bit more quickly than i thought it would. It does put itself out which is a nice feature. I would purchase this again and I plan to purchase refills.

Great Gift

I used this as a gift for Christmas for my daughter and son in law at their new home. It was pretty as well as useful for living in an area where the electricity constantly goes out

Interesting, usable candle

Gifted this to 3 people for Christmas and they all loved it. It's a very interesting piece and would be a focal point and subject of discussion. Ordered one myself and it's a really cool piece of art, basically. It's functionality as a candle is poor. The candle diameter is about 1/4 inch with a very narrow wick that is hard to hold a flame. Said flame is poor as well, a birthday cake candle would give it a run for size of flame and light emitted. The solution is to angle it a little, the flame will stay lit and be larger, but wax may drip on the table instead of burning off like beeswax. If I didn't already have one, even knowing what I know, I'd buy it. It's very unique and is sure to get attention. And it does work, persnickety though it may be.

Love the candle but it is HARD to use these and it doesn’t last as long as claimed

The candles these go to are beautiful. I asked for one plus a refill for Christmas. It says it would last 80 hours but given how fast it burns through an inch or two of advanced wick this is impossible. It’s also super hard to get a piece of wax up into the clamp. It says to hold the candle in your hand to soften it enough to feed it through. It’s almost impossible to do without at least three, maybe four hands and REALLY STRONG hands. Despite this I love the product. It does need some adaptations to the design, though. It’s super unfriendly to even minor hand problems such as arthritis, aging, carpal tunnels. But still so pretty…

Unique style, pretty, clean long burn time, Citronella candle

I am BEYOND happy with this candle set. 1st of all, the packaging was excellent. See the pictures. Well wrapped and protected gave me a sense of comfort that the product was probably also made with care. Instructions for use was great. 2nd, it is sooooo pretty! It also smells amazing It! You can actually detect the scent of honey when you unwrap it and it burns. It isn't a lot. Just a hint every so often which was an unexpected nice surprise. It also has a candle in it already so you just unwrap and use straight out of the box. 3rd It is lightweight so would use caution if small children are around table tops. 4th We have burned it 2x and it works like a charm. I ordered 2 so I could keep one and 2nd is gift for my daughter and son in law. Also purchased the refills. PROBLEM is I ordered the wrong refills (regular candle not Citronella which we both need in Miami given that mosquitos here are large enough to carry a small dog!) The candle set is correct 80 Hour Citronella candle yet i ordered the wrong refills. I am NOT returning the replacements i bought incorrectly. Yes, it's that beautiful Conclusion......you HAVE to order this elegant piece. It will look beautiful as an outdoor tabletop centerpiece or wherever you place it outdoors, is functional, burns clean without soot in the air or on the glass or messy dripping wax, works as stated, and will absolutely ???? be a conversation starter. Just be careful when clicking the refill to scroll to Citronella refill. I just realized that upon opening the refills. Side note I did need to use additional mosquito Repellent so it's not as much as a barrier as other products yet I would absolutely recommend it. It's that pretty and unique.

aesthetically pleasing but scent leaves something to be desired.

bought this for my mothers birthday and she absolutely loved it. she has used it a number of times in the past ten days. she loved the little story behind the candle as well. candle pretty much burns exactly as described. the scent however isn't as strong as claimed. you might get a hint of honey now and again but to claim 48 hours of lasting scent... no.

Great product

I purchased this candle to use at night when falling asleep. Candles help me fall asleep, but I found I was waking up too many times the next morning with a candle still burning ????. This candle should help when I fall asleep before blowing out the candle. I tested it twice today and it burns a bit less than the stated 20 min/in, but not much. At about two inches, it burned for almost 36 minutes. This is perfect and will be much more economical for regular usage. I read several bad reviews, but the candle sent was obviously beeswax, leaves no drip behind, and easily molds to bend into clip (instructions say to warm it in palms first.) There was a lot of styrofoam in package but I’m not sure how that would be avoidable when they are trying to protect candle and glass. Overall I’m so happy that they offer this product and it ended up being exactly as described. I seriously want one for each room, and maybe I will try out the other colors for refills.

NOT BEESWAX and FOUL SMELL

This is advertised as beeswax and it is nothing of the kind - it is the same off-white stuff that cheap penny candles are made of. It also stinks to high heaven which is not surprising as the box states "RED CINNAMON" - and that is NOT mentioned in the description.

Love this specialty old fashioned candle

My first time to burn I pulled up 1.5" (measured) to check on the burn time. Three inches is supposed to burn in one hour, so 1.5" would burn 30 minutes. I'm a beekeeper and I do make candles and sell them but I can't make these specialized candles. I love this antique idea of having a courtship candle. Back in the day, the parents would set the candle length for the burn time. Then the suitor would visit and then when the candle self-snuffs, it's his time for him to leave. These courtship candles self snuff whereas the wrought iron ones burn by the hour but don't snuff. Being beeswax, depending on where you live, if the wax is cold it can break when you pull on it but it'll heat up incredibly quickly just from the heat of your fingers. So if you wrap your fingers around the wax for just a few seconds before you pull it up that will prevent breakage. It burned with a nice flame with no drafts which will speed up burn time. I didn't order the glass cylinder, mostly because I know beeswax burns better with lots of access to oxygen. The unit is about 10" tall. The copper is lovely and the whole thing looks well made. The candle burned for 35 minutes and then self-snuffed. So it was 5 minutes more than the estimate. Love this old fashioned candle.

I had read some reviews about their candle arriving with styrofoam all over it or damaged but mine arrived in great condition. it was in a box with a protective styrofoam top and bottom insert for protection. The base is sturdy and the candle is beautiful to look at. I'll likely buy another.
