When it comes to bicycle inner tubes I don’t have any brand loyalty but do try to stay within known makes – Continental, Kenda, Schwalbe, etc. As far as overall quality and value are concerned, the Panaracer tube in this review is well within the same category as the aforementioned brands. Barring the inventible punctures, these tubes have lasted me for years and thousands of miles and only replace them if they get damaged beyond repair. This Panaracer is a replacement to the unrepairable Kenda tube on my gravel bike – (The offending thorn tore through the seam!) I see some folks complain about flats. For a good quality tube within its reasonable shelf life and hasn’t been exposed to harmful substance or UV, there are only a handful of reasons for flats – Punctures, Pinch-Flats or Sizing mismatch/Incorrect Pressure/User Error. Manufacturing defects can happen on any brand but are quite rare. Most flats I suffer are punctures from goat-head thorns and as far as I know, there are no inner tubes of any make and model including the so-called “self-sealing” Slimes are immune to goat-heads. Tires are thicker than inner tubes. If a goat-head or any sharp object can punch through a tire, it will most definitely punch through an inner tube. You may also hear some people complaining about weight. Unfortunately, these are the cyclists who weigh anything and everything with a postal scale and believes 200grams is unacceptably heavy on a bike because their average speed has slowed down by 0.002mph - I'm not one of those! Anyone looking for a replacement tube or a spare to take on a ride, this Panaracer is as good as any Continental, Kenda, Michelin, Schwalbe, Sunlite, Vittoria, Tubolito, Etc.

Easy to Use

These worked excellent for my bicycle, a Trek 7.5 Hybrid. There's a lot of options, so here's a quick run-down. Schrader valves are much more common (especially on mountain bikes) and are the same as you'd find on your car; Presta valves seem to be more ubiquitous on hybrid/road bikes. As far as size goes, there's usually an indication on the side of the tires that will help you to identify the tire size. I had not previously changed a bike tire by myself, so I didn't know how difficult it would be. I was rather surprised (positively) that it was very easy; once you pop off the tire itself and remove the busted inner tube, you simply reset the new inner tube and insert the valve stem through the rim and pop the tire's bead back into place (make sure not to pinch the inner tube in the process). I didn't even have a tire tool, but I'm sure it'd be easier if you did. This is a great purchase though - you get two inner tubes in the same packet so you can fix the problem tire but have a replacement in hand if you need it in the future.

Pretty good for the price

Not bad. Was a little large for my 700 x 25... but it seemed to adjust fine as everything got aired up. I put in about 30 psi went for a short ride, then aired it up to spec. So far so good.

Good bike inner tube for the money

Bought this because I had a blown out inner tube and had to replace. Good value for the money, pretty easy to replace on your own, not much else to say. I'd buy it again if I needed more bike inner tubes.

It's a great price, but inflate your tubes slightly before you install them. I found one of my tubes to be very oblong, certain areas of the tube were wider than others. In a 700x28 tire, there was a lot more tube than I needed, even after I deflated it as much as possible it wouldn't fit without folding 2-3 inches onto itself. Much different than a schwalbe tire

Good inexpensive thick tubes

Good price, pretty heavy though relatively speaking. If the weight of a tube is a concern to you.

Not as good as before

I just use for couple of months and went through 2 tubes. It is not as durable as before. Now I went to my local bike store to buy Evo brand and it last me more than 2 years. It is more expensive but Worth.

Flats, flats, flats

I bought two two-packs and the first two were duds. Caught a flat on my first ride with them, and replaced the tube with another new Panaracer tube and the tire was flat by the time I got home. Never had these kinds of issues running Continental Race 28 tubes.
