Brightest light that I have seen on a bicycle.
I like the brightness of the light and longevity of the battery. It is obviously not as large as an automobile tail light but it appears to be as bright as a car's brake light. If you want to be noticed by motorists this light does the best job of any light I have owned and worth the price.

How to Write a Review for a Perfect Product?
This taillight was exactly what I was looking for. Looked all over town for a taillight that included all the features this light has, especially the random blinking function and the ability to adjust the brightness and speed of the blinking patterns . But I searched locally in vain. It’s super bright if that’s what you want, easy to install, and has an excellent duration between charging. Couldn’t ask for a better light, particularly if riding with cars in an urban environment. Only had it for a few days. From all outward appearances, it’ll last a long time. Will update if it doesn’t.

Very bright
I commute year-round on city streets, so I want to been seen. This light is far better than my previous light. I've had a couple of motorists thank me while we're waiting at red lights for having such a bright light. They have said it makes it much easier for them to avoid me.

BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
The media could not be loaded. BLUF: I feel good about this purchase and recommend this product for anyone who wants to increase their visibility to cars. Disclaimer: A couple of reviews say that this light is blindingly bright. That is somewhat “truthy”. It is a bright bicycle taillight. However, I think the dimmest car headlight is around 800 lumens and somewhere between 1000 to 2000 lumens is more typical. It seems doubtful that a 350-lumen bicycle light can or will blind automobile drivers at least any more than the typical car headlight. If a driver yells at you because of this light, you can feel confident that he or she would have found some other reason to be angry regardless of the light that you use. Use case: I have this mounted on the back of a couple of bicycle helmets. The first is a winter commuter that has a clip on the rear to mount a blinky light. The second helmet is mountain bike style helmet with the light zip tied to the rear. I typically ride my bike to the grocery store, the library, the post office, and the odd restaurant/coffee shop. As such, I spend a fair amount of time on the road often during off peak times pre sunrise and post sunset. However, I keep this light one for every single ride in the alternating blinking mode – see attached video. Generally, I recharge this light every one to two weeks. Discussion: There are other bright taillights on the market. Notable, the Dinotte Quad Red which has a reputation for being the brightest taillight on the market. However, the Quad Red is nearly three times the price of the Cygolite Hypershot. The Cateye Viz 450 seems like a good option, but ultimately, I went with the Cygolite Hypershot due to the mounting options that were included in the purchase price. I feel safer riding at night than during the day with this light. I know that during the day, a narrow road and sharp corner means that a car or truck can run me over if the driver is not paying attention. However, this light with the blinking red lights increases the time that the driver has to notice that something is just ahead on the corner. As another reviewer pointed out, the alternating red flashing lights makes drivers think about police and causes them to slow down and pay attention to their surroundings. On one occasion in the early A.M. I was about 100 feet past an intersection in a residential area when a car behind me drove through (at right angles to the road I was one) a stop sign without even slowing down, they came to an abrupt stop in the middle of the intersection. I only noticed this due to the engine noise of the car as it approached the stop sign at a high speed. I can only assume that they stopped because they thought – for a second – that the blinking light was actually a police car. Conclusion: If you spend time riding on the road and want to be more visible to cars, this tail light is a great option.

Don’t need 7 variations of blinking
Only needs two modes: simple on/off blinking, and steady on. Takes several button clicks to find these two modes. It has like 7 blinking modes, not sure why. Some might give someone a seizure. Otherwise nice light. Doesn’t put light out the sides like my old top of the line Cat Eye but I can live with it.

The brightest I've ever seen
This is the brightest rear light I've seen. It isn't just the 350 lumens number to look at, the spread and patterns of the leds emit a solid deep red light that can be seen from further away and it stands out more in busy city environments. It can be seen in the day easily and can be overpowering at night but that's what I wanted. The bracket is quality and doesn't slip or move and the quick release is easy but secure.

La llamo "la deja ciegos"
The media could not be loaded. Creo que es la mejor en su tipo, lo único malo es el montaje al tubo de asiento de la bicicleta, es un poco frágil, no es malo, pero puede romperse con un mal manejo. Ojalá vendan los repuestos pronto. De ahí en fuera es una luz excelente para rodar seguro de día, no la recomiendo usar al máximo por la noche, puedes dejar ciego a alguien. La batería dura lo que dice el manual. Ésta no baja su intencidad al momento de ir agotando la batería como lo hace la Niterider Omega 300. En fin, es una excelente luz diurna, te ven por que te ven, en el caso de rodar de noche con ella la recomiendo usarla en el modo más bajo de intencidad. Si es por avenidas grandes (Insurgentes, Gustavo Baz, Periférico, etc.) ahí si usala al máximo para que te vean de noche. Espero haberlos ayudado.

Sorprendido por tanta luz
The media could not be loaded. En verdad deslumbra. En el día se nota bastante la luz y en la noche es demasiado intensa. Tuve que adaptar el soporte para que pudiera atarla a mi portabultos Topeak. Si realmente deseas ser notado por los automovilistas, este producto es para ti. Me han servido mucho los comentarios de otras revisiones. Estoy muy contento con la compra. Aunque actualizaré mi revisión más adelante.

Excellent for daytime use
This light is just what I've been looking for. It's designed for daytime use and extremely bright. I use it on the slowest bright flash setting (would like it to be even slower, but it's ok. The battery seems to last for hours and charges relatively quickly. I use another light for night time cycling. A big advantage for me is that I can attach the light to the rear stay of my pannier rack. Luggage on the rack means that the seat stem lights are obscured and of limited use. The usb connection is a weak point but this is on the bottom of the light and wet or dusty roads have weather have not caused any problems.

Very Very Bright, needs more installtion options
This is a great light, I've bought 2 of them (one for my wife and one for myself). They are incredibly bright and can be easily be seen on a bright sunny day. Also, I've found the battery life is great. The only downside is that if you are riding in a group you may annoy anyone behind you .... stopping the blinking and leaving it on "solid" may help. I do wish they offered more mounting options though. Our seat posts are obscured by a "trunk" so I fitted them to the bike rack over the back wheel, however the stays are too small for the supplied clips. I had to make the stays fatter by wrapping bits of an old inner tube round them.
